Mexico - they are more exciting and seem to be going places. USA are over rated.

Mexico by far...

Carlos Vela and Giovanni Dos Santos have been doing really well with their new teams... in Vela's first game at Arsenal he scored 2 goals.. and in Dos Santo's first game in Tottenham Dos Santos was a key player in 2 of the goals scored...

and MOST of Mexican players who have gone on to play in Europe play in really good teams... like Barcelona, Arsenal, Tottenham, PSV Eidenhoven, Stuttgart, (all these teams finished in the top 10 of their league and Eidenhoven being the dutch league champions)

the reason Mexico dropped to 32 was because the DIDNT play in the month of July... and FIFA rankings are renewed every month

I would say Mexico, they are both not bad. I say mexico because I think the have a larger number of good players e.g. Rafael Marquez (Barcelona) and Neri Castillo (Man City), I think this gives them the edge over the USA who would regard their greats to be people like claudio reina and landon donovan, these aren't exactly household names and failed to make a lasting impression outside the MLS. Consequentially, Mexico tend to do a lot better in World Cups, in 2006, the barely lost out to Argentina (who at the time were favorites) in extra time. I feel in CONCACAF, america are at their own level but I think if Mexico had top-class opposition regularly (no disrespect meant to teams like barbados, jamaica, or trinidad and tobago), the could have a real shot at a world cup, I can't say the same about the USA.
