  1. Pacquiao. His left is a one punch knockdown machine. Watch Lucero vs. Pacman to see.

  2. Manny Pacquiao. his left hand is insane

i saw his fight with that guy from Thailand, MAN! the poor guy's feet lift off the canvas.... that left hand was super!

    watch it:

  3. None of the above:

Nicolai Valuev. Simple science: power is mass multiplied with acceleration, so you first need mass and I know no other fighter that has more of it. (some say that you can multiply your body weight by 4 up to 5 to get your punching power)

  4. Kinda a lopsided question there because the guys you listed span a few different weight classes.  I would say that pound for pound, strictly power,on that list, Manny is the hardest hitter.

As far as the whole list goes, not taking account for weight, probably Cotto.  I've seen him crack quite a few ribs before.  Pavlik gets a nod but in my opinion his KO power is more from precision and timing, then from pure impact.

On a side note, I would throw Andre Berto in there too.  If you don't know, he's an up and coming undefeted welterweight prospect that reminds me personally of a small version of Mike Tyson.  I think in a year or two he is holding at least one welterweight championship belt,  not sure he could take maywether but by that time I don't think he will have to.

  5. Manny Pacquiao !!! Mayweather is nothing but a feather for Big Show haha

  6. Gotta be De La Hoya

  7. Little Mac  From mike Tysons punch out....

  8. Edison Miranda is surely one of the hardest punchers in boxing if not the hardest puncher........not the best overall fighter but he's always a threat to knockout his opponent.

  9. i will have to go with PACQUIAO. he's 5'6 130lbs but with tremendous left hand, no other fighter on the lower wt. division could do that.

  10. Out of the fighters you named i would say pavlik hits the hardest out of them.

  11. On your list its Manny Pacquaio.....It has been such a long time since many has not been fighting the best of the best you forget how he destroys lesser competition.  2nd choice cotto nobody goes to the body harder.    JD,  hatton, mosely dlh, should even be in the conversation.

The real answer is Samuael Peter.

  12. Muhammad Ali when he remembers how

  13. it will be all the heavyweights first buddy. Then whoever is in the next division down and so forth.

That's why they have weight divisions.

  14. from the list cotto or hatton but besides the list tyson

  15. Definitely David Tua!

  16. None of the guy you listed. The hardest puncher is a heavyweight. I say a toss up between Rocky Marciano and Earnie Shavers.

  17. This is a tough one, but fun to answer!

You have to mention Joe Louis, he never got a lot of credit for his power but man could he hit!  Also do you guy's remember  that poor boxer Gerald Mcclellan who had that tragic injury in the ring? Before he got hurt, pound for pound that guy hit harder

than most. He had a fight against Julian Jackson, oh man! Might be the best ko I have ever seen. look it up some time!

  18. Ricky Hatton

  19. Going by your list, and interpreting that you mean of this current era.  I would say it's a toss up between Pacquaio and Pavlik.  Obviously, Kelly Pavlik hits harder because he is significantly larger than Manny (that's just reality).  However, Pound for Pound, amongst their respective divisions... There close.

Miguel Cotto, Hatton, Mosley, and De La Hoya all have good power but they're not one-punch knockout artists like the above mentioned two.  Mosley and Cotto, both are good examples of fighters, who systematically break down their opponents before they knock them out, with work to the body and head.  Now, that's not to say they're not capable of one-punch knockouts.  However, it's more likely they knockout a guy after they break them down to the body first.

Ultimately, I think Pavlik has the most brute, one-punch power out of the list you gave to choose from.  Pacquaio is close behind, pound for pound, in his respective division.

  20. Manny Pacquaio

  21. Sam Peters is hardest puncher in the game,  but pound for pound out of those guys I would go with Pavlik or Pacquiao.
