This question is in a 'to be determend state'. the truth is its a heavy weight. the question is, is it Frank Mir or Noguierra. There is no one in a lighter weight class that could handle these guys on the ground. The winner of this fight gets to say that he is the baddest dude in the ufc period

Here I go hopping on the bandwagon, but I'm going to go with Anderson Silva.  He is destroying everyone the UFC puts in his path, including the dominating Rich Franklin (2x) who was one of the best ever at that weight, Dan Henderson (a MMA legend in his own right), and submission expert Travis Lutter (who had the advanage of being overweight for the fight).  I would love to see GSP step up to middleweight and try a shot at Silva, because i dont see anyone else that can come close.

I would really love to pick Rampage.  He beat Chuck Liddell (2x), Dan Henderson,  and Marvin Eastman, but there is one drawback right now for him.  He has lost to Wanderlei Silva twice.  If Rampage gets past Forrest in his next fight and can avenge his losses to Wandy in the octagon, I would entertain changing my pick.

A close 3rd for me is GSP.  He has dominated Matt Hughes (2x) and recently dismantled Matt Serra for the title.  He has also beaten Sean Sherk, BJ Penn, and Frank Trigg.  If he had not lost his first fight to Serra, I would pick him over Silva for the best UFC fighter.

The UFC's most entertaining fighter, though, is Wanderlei Silva.  He comes to fight every time, win or loss.

Anderson Silva... by far. Anderson has shown us just how good he is by completely demolishing the 2nd best middleweight in the world (Rich Franklin) twice.

Its the same thing every time. When he fights Lutter people say, "Oh let's see how he does against top jui-jitsu competition" what happened? He submitted the BJJ "expert." Then he fights Dan Henderson who critics say is built to beat Anderson with his great wrestling and powerful strikes. What happened? Anderson beat the c**p out of him too. Anderson Silva is so good the UFC is going to have trouble finding anyone deserving enough to fight him. He has no competition.

Who I'd like to think is not currently under contract - right now, Antônio Rodrigo Nogueira is quite the nimble semi truck, so he'd definitely be on my shortlist.  Anderson Silva is another favorite of mine.
