  1. Giambi and Abreu's contract expries next season and they will not be resigned. Petitte only had a one year deal and will not be resigned either. Melky if he can't get his bat together may be traded.

Mussina will most likely sign on for a one or two year deal but with a pay cut. He wants 300 wins and he wants them as a Yankee.

Pudge was a one year fix and will be gone as well.

With Pudge, Mussina, Pettite, Giambi, Abreau, and Damons contract all up there will be 91 million dollars off their books. Which will let the yankees renegotiate Mussina's contract and Damon's. And also allow to pick up some major free agents.

The yankees already said they are going to go after CC Sabathia. Both Texiera and Morneau are free agents next year. And I'm sure you have heard the Manny wants to be a Yankee. So now you have roughly 80 million dollars to sign these big name players. Expect alot of acquisitions this offseason for the yankees.

  2. Jason Giambi, Jorgo Posada

  3. lets see, girardi, giambi, moose, matsui, damon new pitching will be great

  4. Giambi is dead wood. He and his big salary needs to go badly. I also think Abreu might be going... with the addition of Nady they can spare an outfielder. With those two guys gone they need to get an ace or two.

  5. No one. They will just keep trying to buy up more big name players and still will wind up failing as usual. What more do you expect from a bunch of severely overpaid babies ran by morons?

  6. Melky will be traded.A year too late.Giambi is a goner.

  7. pettite pudge arod giambi

  8. They gotta get rid of Giambi, they're probably gonna let Abreu go, too. I want to get at least two quality starters for next year, to go with Moose and Pettitte (I expect both to be resigned). Cashman will be back, and (even though I think he's cost us AT LEAST 18-20 games with bad managerial mistakes this year) so will Girardi. They'll probably let him finish out his deal. Damon and Nady MUST stay, without them we'd be hitting practically .000 as a team with RISP, and they each have a year left on their contracts.

Obviously, Jeter/A-Rod/Posada/Matsui and probably Cano are shoe-ins to be back. I don't think there will be a change with the catching. Posada will come back as the starter, with Molina as the back up. Most likely, we'll get rid of Pudge.

The bullpen. That needs work. Not as much as people like to say, but it does need some work. I'd like to get at least one quality reliever that can be counted on when it matters. Maybe Fuentes, or even Pat Neshek. Why we can't just go after K-Rod to set up for Mo, I don't even know. But I can't see it happening, and I don't see him agreeing to be a set-up guy.

To replace Giambi at first, I want to go after Teixeira or another younger player that can both hit and field his position. I expect Melky to be back as a starter next year, as long as he breaks this slide he was in. He's been great in AAA so far.

  9. Pettitte likely wont be resigned.

Moose may come back if he takes a pay cut.

    Yanks will sign A.J. Burnett.

    Bobby abreu wont be back.

Melky cabrera will be in a trade.

    Giambi wont come back.

Matsui or Damons futures are in jeopardy.

They MIGHT sign teixeria but if he wants 10 years, forget it.

  10. yankees need: Cliff lee, A.J, Dice-k

yankees should fire: joe giradi, sidney ponson, phil, ian kennedy.

yankees will be missing: giambi, matsui, damon

yankees must keep: joba, moose, chien ming wang.
