  1. Nadal is the favorite, and he is looking very healthy again. Noticed he didn't wear his tendinitis bands in Monaco.

But, as a solid Federer fan, I am always rooting for him. I wish so much that he will win a calendar slam. We can all say, we were there!

  2. im going to go out on a limb and say Tsonga, the french are very passionate people and he is going to have a whole country behind him :)

federer, nadal and djokervic are going to be right up there aswell. cant wait :)

  3. i think this year the compitition level is very high in tennis and lots of talent brigade is showing their talent both in mens n womens tour,  so at some leve its difficult to answer this question that who will win french open this time. though nadal and roger???(do you think he can win) are always big favourites but at the same time they have to deal with dangerous players like tsonga, djokovic, murray and few more players like davydenko, nalbandian, canas, and inform mario ancic. and in women justin is not at all clear favorite she has to deal with players like jankovic, ivanovic, williams, davenport, mauresmo, a new gangbang of szavay, radwanska and most inform player maria sharapova.. so lets wait and watch

  4. Nadal for sure, or at least as sure as one could get.  For the women, it depends on the draw.  I think Justine is still the one to beat, but not as heavily favored as she has been in the past.

  5. The massive favourite will be Nadal again but Federer looks impressive on the clay after his win in Estoril and making it to the final of monte carlo. Other players looking in form include Djokovic, Nalbandian, Robredo and Davydenko. Nadal would have to drop in form to loose to any of these players considering his life-time record of 99 played and 98 won on clay. However he could do exactly this though because he has a packed schedule right up until the French open with Barcelona, Rome and Hamburg leading straight into the French. Other players like Federer have chosen to rest this week instead of playing in Barcelona.

  6. nadal

  7. Most likely Nadal. He's dominated it the past few years.

However, some newcomers suck as Tsonga (depending on his injury) and Djokovic, who have established themselves in the past year might have a shot.

It seems like the face of professional tennis is in a transitional stage right now, so you can't really say for sure. There are so many new players who are challenging the mighty Federer and Nadal.

But yeah, judging from the past few years, Nadal is the favorite to win it.

  8. No Doubt Rafael Nadal <3 He is an amazing player!!

  9. nadal or djokovic on the mens.

    women: justine,svetlana,ana or jelena

  10. Nadal for sure, but for two backups im going to say federer and djokovic.

im sry i cant give a better, more varied answer, but right now i really cant see anyone else but them winning it. theyre dominating right now and no one else really has shown any promise to breaking into that triad.

im a big fan of nadal, but i also really want federer to win a complete grand slam. but this year, i want nadal to win it because federer cant do a calender-year grand slam because he already lost the french. but next year i will root for  him if he wins australian.

not djokovic, im not a fan of him at all, his ball bouncing tactics waste time on my video tapes. i just dont like him at all. but i respect him as a player.

hope i helped out a little

  11. i hope rafael nadal.... most likely about 80-90%.. but we can never tell

for the women,,, i hope maria sharapova... she still needed the french open so to tie it one a piece...

  12. I believe Nadal is the best clay courter in the world, yet he has taken on too much and his body will not stand the rigorous schedule, so he will loose to a far less fancied opponent, perhaps in the quarter finals if that. I believe this is Roger's best opportunity to win it and he will go all the way.

  13. Easy, seven matches, over the best of five sets, nobody can stop Nadal.

  14. Nadal seems to be the odds on favorite ... the rest of the solid players are just wannabe's!

  15. Rafa is always the heavy favourite when it comes to clay, but you can never count Roger out. Roger did not have a good start this year, so  he would definitely want to prove himself. If Roger continues to play the way he did at Monte Carlo, he sure has a good chance, but he has to play a perfect match against Rafa if he has to win. He made a lot of unforced errors against Rafa at Monte Carlo finals, after being in a commanding position in the second set. If he takes care of those little things, and his serve, he will be in a good position to win the French Open. Go Rogi !

  16. Men: Roger Federer. He has really stepped it up on clay this year and he will give his absolute best to win it and i believe that he can do it this year.

Women: I'd say one of the serbs but most likely; Ana Ivanovic. She reached the final last year and she lost terribely coz she was nervous but i am not sure who will really win coz the competition will be fierce and also players like Sharapova are improving on clay which means that the threat on Henin and other good players on clay will be great.
