Australia, they are hot favourites, eventhough they failed to win the tri-nations...

On form it's definitely the All Blacks, but then you have this "chocking" problem they seem to have inherited since winning the 1987 WC. Overcome that, they're well on their way for the 2nd crown.

The Wallabies too showed great form to beat ABs in the 1st leg of the Bledisloe Cup. Pushed the ABs seriously close to the edge in the 2nd leg too. After all they know how to win a world cup and they're going to be a serious threat.

The Springboks have an out side chance if they can devolop some staying power.

Sorry to say about the nothern hemisphere teams. Nothing suggests that the WC will be staying north of the border, but teams like England and especially France (very very unpredictable and playing at home) can always turn a match, a tournament upside down at any moment.

New Zealand are favourites... I'd say France, Ireland and Wales might do well to though.

NZ certainly have the best set of players to choose from and possibly the best coach in rugby. I heard their kicker was one of if not the most consistent in the world too. Even the NZ 2nd 15 is a  team to be reckoned with.

France have been very consistent over the past few years having won the 6nations and beaten all the top teams in the northern hemisphere at least once in the last 2 years.

Ireland have a very experienced first 15 who could do some real damage but there are concerns about their depth of players. An injury to O'Gara could prove very costly as Irelands other 2 kickers arent as consistent. Paddy Wallace is good on his day at kicking but not as good as o'gara and running with the ball.

England will need a miracle of they keep the current management structure... Johnny Wilkonson can create miracles though if he plays well. I think England need Robinson on the wing to score the tries though and he has had injuries this season.

NZ shud win because they have depth and the talent they could field 2 different teams that could win it.. they also have the most dominating scrum in the world and maestro at 1st five in carter whose also accurate with the boot bt like othas hav said they seem to choke in the world cup

NZ should on paper but their track record in the world cup count against them.South Africa ,Australia and France are the threads to them .Final match NZ against France ..Home advantage for France should give them the edge

I think NZ because of the talent in the side. Pretty much unstoppable if all play well and are in form.

South Africa in my opinion will be another threat
