Who do we want to win: England or South Africa?

A tough one - normally two teams I always hope will lose! However I want the Poms to win this one. I know England are underdogs, but I reckon the Saffas will suffer a huge dip in confidence if they go down to the hapless Poms. It might be a factor in de-railling South Africa's World Cup campaign - a good thing for NZ as I rate them as serious contenders.

  1. i am hoping South Africa will win, and i do hope that it is a hard running game.

  2. South africa

  3. RSA have talent to burn. But . . . pretty predictable rugby coming from the Bokke  ever since Jake White took over as coach.

If Eddie Jones can't convince him to play the kind of rugby that the African teams played in the S14, then it will be a closer game than many think.

And . . . a real bore to watch. Look for Monty to kick for territory and back his line out winning possession - Look for England to kill the ball and hog possession. Don't expect to see any tries being scored. And I reckon there will be a fare bit of biffo - even though both teams have lost players to the judiciary in the last week.

  4. Sorry if it offends you but we don't call them the Saffas but we call them the Boks or Springboks.  I am South African so I hope we win against England quite emphatically.

  5. Ah well, Poms got their backsides kicked real hard. 0-36 is not a score line you'll forget very easily specially when you're the defending champions.

This is equal in proportion to the Le Bleus getting kicked out of the 2002 FIFA WC in the group stages.

  6. from a kiwi point of veiw,i hope the Poms really give it to the Yaapies........Go All Blacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I am South African so I want SA team naturally.

Everyone is say SA is going to win with good reasons.

    But

That's what everyone said about France and they lost to Argentina.

Australia vs Zimbabwe in the T20 world cup need I say more.

If England are to win it will be because of their forward pack and SA is missing Sculk Burger so yes they have a chance.

  8. S Africa are one of the favourites as usual, England are not the England of 4 years ago, if England could rattle the Boks maybe even win it would throw another spanner into the works, so far the competition has been the most interesting to date, few of the top teams have yet to perform consistantly,

A draw would be a good result for england but the reality is that the Boks put 40 on England

  9. England are so bad these days i actually feel sorry for them

so i will be cheering them on as i always do for the underdog
