Miep Gies.  She played a more active role in saving Jews from the n***s that Emilie Schindler.

Both ladies were great heroines of their time but when it comes down to it I would have to say Emilie Schindler. As her husband did all he could do to help the Jews survive she had to act as though she knew nothing of the goings on, she had to keep the secret just as he did , and she sacrificed everything in life for him to succeed at his goal.Even having to leave her homeland after the war was over since her husband had been a n**i party member, while all the time saving others lives. She gave up the lifestyle she was accustomed to

and in the end her heritage in Germany.

of the two, Miep Gies, but I also think Irena Sendler should be on your list.  She smuggled 2500 Jewish children out of the Warsaw ghetto to safety, was captured and tortured by the n***s but never gave away any information and escaped a death sentence.  Not only did she save those children but she kept records so she could make sure that they could later know who their parents were - must have been a comfort after the war.

Then of course there are the hundreds of ordinary women who did what they could, took in Jewish children and families, helped protect people like Sendler.
