  1. In terms of sheer body count: Josef Stalin is hands down the most evil of the bunch. He executed at least twice as many as Hitler ever did. This is further  compounded by the fact that, while Hitler murdered those he percieved to be his enemies, Stalin murdered his own.

In terms of subservness, Hitler's fascism was far more evil. Communism has always been about shattering the norm, and breaking with the past. This makes communism relatively unappealing to most people. Fascism billed itself as a continuation of old values. It took Communism nearly 70 years to establish itself, while Fascism started taking root in countries almost immediatly after it had been established. Remember that prior to the war, virtually all western countries had some fascist movement that was much more successful at establishing itself than communism ever had been. Hitler had courted both America and England in an attempt to ally with them. Had we sided with the Germans against the Russians (as Hitler originally wanted), then it is a very real possibility that all western countries would have become fascist states, and Hitler would have been deified as a saint instead of reviled as a monster.

  2. Hitler was the figurehead of unspeakable evils in the world. But he had the sense that what he was doing was good. Can we call him evil for doing what he believed was right? Mengele committed horrible experiments and toyed with human lives. But he was under orders from the masterminds of the Holocaust. Josef Stalin starved his own people by creating famines, and was a calculating man who would have helped Hitler with the Holocaust had it been in his favor. However, he did help defeat a great threat to the world.

All of them are evil, but I'd say Stalin is the least justified of the three. Not to say he committed more atrocities... but they are less justified.

  3. Stalin

  4. josef mengele ---hands down

  5. stalin...he secretly killed more of his own people than hitler did.

  6. Stalin for sure

  7. Hitler

  8. Mengele, although I would argue that none of them were evil.

Hitler - People call him evil because he was responsible for the deaths of six million Jews and five million other "undesirables". Yet, at the time, everyone blamed their problems on Jews! Although Germany was the only country to ever try and exterminate the Jewish race, Germany had gone through the hardest hitting economic depression of any country in the world, and after blaming their problems on Jews, they were willing to do anything to prevent them from causing more trouble. The result of which is the holocaust.

Mengele - Had no contempt for human life, and didn't just kill undesirables but experimented on them. But, at the time in Germany, just about everyone believed that undesirables were not human. So, in his mind, he would have been experimenting on animals rather than people.

Stalin - Was definately not evil. Would you call a snake evil? Snakes only attack humans because they're frightened, same thing with Stalin. Stalin was paranoid, and as a result had 12 million people executed for being accused of working against him. But he imagined that what he was doing was right for the USSR, and therefore how can you call him evil?

  9. Stalin killed the most of the three, but Mengele was the most twisted.

  10. Definitely Hitler.

  11. Stalin, the Mengele. Mengele was some warped weirdo.
