I am going to go with Jon Lester....

"And what has he done so far? Only this: beaten cancer, won the clinching game of a World Series, thrown a no-hitter, shut out the Yankees the first time he pitched in Yankee Stadium and posted a record of 20-5. Imagine what he might do with a little experience...."

  1. Cliff Lee

  2. justin duscherer or matt garza

  3. I'd say Saunders of the Angels. I barely ever hear his name but he has FOURTEEN wins! Lackey is great too but he just got a ton of attention because of his *almost* no hitter. Besides them, I'd say Lee, Dempster, and Lester.

  4. You are beautiful, thanks for showing your picture.

  5. I think its Cliff Lee. He leads the majors in ERA. And at the start of the season he wasn't even his teams ace.

  6. Jon Lester.

  7. Lester is an amazing story.

My vote goes to Scott Baker. 1.11 WHIP, .242 BAA, and nobody's ever heard of him.

  8. Cliff Lee.

I think Jon Lester gets enough attention.

  9. Jon Lester gets too much attention, he had cancer, big deal, he doesnt have it now?

  10. Did I really just see Cliff Lee as underrated? EVERYONE has him pegged as AL Cy Young and he is underrated? Give me a break.

Well he had an injury and before that, it was Shaun Marcum from the Jays. His record isn't reflecting the season he's had. Before the injury, he had a sub 3 ERA and a WHIP just around one. This guy has got great stuff and the command to go with it.

  11. Cliff Lee, Ryan Dempster, John Lackey, Joe Saunders, Jon Lester.  Take your pick.

To the above poster.  Lester gets a lot of attention, but it's not so much for his pitching, rather his story.

  12. Tim Lincecum of the Giants. If he was on another team he would easily win 20 games

  13. Francisco Liriano, but once he finished his rehabilitation in the minors he'll come back and the Twins could be a threat to Griffey and the White Sox. Look how close it already is...

  14. Jon Lester or Edison Volquez.

  15. I totally agree with you.  Jason Varitek said the other day that Lester is one of the best lefthanders out there. And I wouldn't ever disagree with Tek!
