Question:

Who do you blame for this situation?

OK, to add to my other question a bit.

Regarding the race where Denny had a tire going down...and it was known for a couple of laps at least (I am pretty sure about this, but correct me if I am wrong). Yet he stayed on the track bringing out the caution to allow Kyle to catch up to Junior - at least to battle for the lead. I doubt it was to allow him to take him out, though that is not something I know for sure...but he didn't have enough time to chase down the lead he had. Of that I am pretty sure (again, if I am wrong - correct me!)

So - who is to blame for that? Or for allowing it to happen? However you want to look at it.

Is it the Car Owner? Is it one or the other of the Crew Cheifs or both? Is it Denny? I probably can't say it is Kyle, unless he asked for it to happen...but someone else had to allow it to happen - whoever that may be!

Because this is one of the MAJOR issues that I have a problem with these two drivers. Their comments at many others times add to it.

  1. whose fault is it  for this being such a big deal, jr's, cause had he not sucked and lost every race for two years straight and counting i wouldnt be answering these stupid questions.  and your giving such a one sided story, corect me if im wrong, ur saying what these guys are thinking, to go with your little one sided story

  2. Simple.

There is no doubt that Denny brought the caution out on purpose. It was his fault and NASCAR proved that by penalizing him.

  3. Hamlin, he was fined for stopping on the track to bring out the caution.

  4. Its not anyones fault.  Denny and his crew knew he had a tire going down.  It was pretty much the end of the race.  Why not try and stay out there and get as many laps in before it completely goes down.  The tire might hold out long enough to make it to the end.  The call bit them in the *** as we all saw.  Its not like this is the first time a driver has tried it.  They've done it with tires and they've done it with fuel mileage.  Then we all know what happend next, which is a product of hard racing.  Again, its not like this was the first time the lead drivers got tangled up in the final laps of a race, and I'm positive it won't be the last.  The whole thing got blown out of proportion because of who was involved.  Had it been say Kahne and Kenseth, I guarantee we wouldn't still be talking about it now.  It was just one of those things that happen during a close race.

  5. This incident has been so overdone on here....from EVERY standpoint.

  6. Denny is a idiot and should be banned from nascar

  7. Well, it's a blame-blame-blame situation. Jr. was making mistakes he shouldn't have, Denny was really just helping a teammate (it just HAD to be Kyle) and Kyle...well, Kyle did it on purpose because he's a dumbfart. Jr. kept overdriving the turns, which is really what allowed Kyle to get so underneath him. No one noticed that in all the chaos.

  8. Denny did NOT stay out to let Kyle catch Junior.  Get that out of your head people.  He did it to bring the caution out so he wouldn't go laps down pitting under the green.  It had nothing to do with Kyle or Junior.  He was upset that he dominated the race in his home town and wanted a chance to pit under yellow and possibly get a better finish than 2 laps down.  Nascar knew it and penalized him for it.  It happens all the time in short track racing.  But again, it had nothing to do with Kyle or Junior.

  9. Someone at JGR orchestrated it to gain an advantage for the team. Somewhat of a lack of integrity for 11 to act like he had no idea. It would be nice to hear the in-car audio and hear what transpired.

  10. agreed. can't we just move past this issue?  i'm sure there will be plenty more issues involving all three of these guys throughout the weeks to come, and we can start arguing all over again, but at least over new material... ;-)

    talk to ya then...

  11. I think that this is an ordeal that we've all been there done that already and it's time to let it go and move on the drivers have so why can't we?

  12. Whine less, win more

  13. I'm not a Hamlin fan, but I don't believe he stayed out in order to help Kyle catch Jr. He stayed out to help himself with the caution, but NASCAR called him on it and penalized him. You know how many people listen in on drivers radios each race? If a crew chief, spotter, owner or anyone had told Hamlin to do anything other than come in to the pits, everyone would know about it and you can bet his penalty would have been more than being held for 2 laps.

  14. So much for double standards

  15. I feel that this question has been hashed and rehashed to death...no further comment needed, move on for real...

    besta nailed it!....wtg

Yes, you do have the right to ask your questions and get answers but some that respond, just want to harass you, do not let it get to ya!

  16. that was a month ago let it go

    everyone involved has moved on
