  1. Dan Carter, he is not just good at kicking but an all round good player, but watch out, James Hook is establishing himself as a good all rounder and is making a name for himself in the world of rugby!

  2. Best fly half ever is Hugo Porta from Argentina, greart kicks and superb ball control, never drop a ball in a test match.

  3. Best of the past, Naas Botha! Best of the modern game, Carlos Spencer, because he brought the perfect blend between a running, creative and kicking flyhalf.

  4. I know being biased being welsh but has to be Barry John, with gareth edwards they made such a devastating team, but the main reason i could give that stands out is the 1971 tour of new zealand the only tour the lions have won against the All Blacks, where barry John scored 30 of the 48 points in the four match series.

Even Mr woodwards lions team after the last world cup proved a failure

In answer to your other question that was deleted, sorry don't think they have much chance of being ready for next years world cup.

  5. The game of rugby has evolved so much that it doesn't make sense to pick players from the past. It has changed even from the last world cup, just look at old footage of games and the difference pokes you in the eye. Dan Carter is probably the best 'all' round fly-half to date, for that very reason I've mentioned.

  6. Glynis Kinnock

  7. Will be very difficult to compare the past with the present. So many things has changed in rugby, new rules, opposition making use of video footage, players our faster and stronger and the list carriers on. But to answer your question, I would say Dan Carter is the best flyhalf

  8. past : naas botha (south africa)

overall : carlos spencer (new zealand)

present : dan carter (new zealand)

seems like the all blacks must be doing SOMETHING right, hey?

  9. past: Jonny wilkinson....For me anyway:)

    Sadly now he's always injured.
