Who do you find worse? An arrogant prideful person or a person with low self-confidence and self-esteem?

Interesting question and the answer says a lot about the person who answers it, I think.

I feel worse for anyone who is angered by any type of person above as it indicates a similar fear in themselves.

However people are, show them love - that's what I say. That will do them the most good...

arrogant prideful person... they drive me insane... they think they are top of the world, that they can rule everyone and everything. granted.. low self-confidence and low self-esteem people can be a bit annoying as well. But still, you can help them sometimes if they are willing.

Both are about equally annoying. I have more sympathy for a person with low self-esteem but an arrogant person can also be a brilliant artist or athlete, so it's about equal.

I personally find the low self-confidence and self-esteem worse.  My boss is arrogant and that I just let flow in one ear and out the other.  It is harder to deal with someone who doesn't feel good about themselves because I always find the good in people and it's hard to make them see the good in themselves.

Arrogance and pride. It's possible to build up confidence and self-esteem, very hard to moderate arrogance, which can lead to big problems.

Low self confidence.....It bothers me when a person acts sniveling and subservient.

At least with the arrogant one you know s/he has strength.

Pride and arrogance are two different things. A person that is truly proud do not need to hide behind arrogance. On the other side, persons with low self esteem are often arrogant.

But there are also persons with low self esteem who try to be agreeable all the time to bribe you into liking them. At the first look it might seem that an agreeable person is easier to manipulate, so people, especially those with manipulative aims seek their company. But usually it blows into your face sooner or later.

The kind of personality I like most is a self-confident, assertive personality who will not give an inch of own ground just to look more agreeable to you, but who will on the other hand be calm enough to stand for himself or herself without starting an argument. This is the only type of personality you can rely upon, for you will always know how far is she or he prepared to go to comply with your wishes, so you will not be led into false expectations.

Someone too arrogant for their own good can always be knocked down a peg, it's much harder to lift someone up when they're down.
