  1. Honestly, there is no one great team right now.

New Zealand is still rebuilding its national team, South Africa while a threat are not the most talented team around.

I think if history teaches us anything, with this type of cup, and these teams, it will most likely be England repeating as Champions, or Australia stealing the crown.

From a coaches perspective, I suppose New Zealand, loaded with talent, regardless of how well they play together, is still a worry, but you have to make all the parts click for the machine to work.

    So, my prediction will be:

    England as Repeat Champions.

  2. me too

  3. France..or Wales.

  4. As allways the All Blacks have the best chance to win a WC provided that they do not choke like they have done since winning their first and only in 1987.

If the Wallabies can maintain the form they showed against AB in the 1st leg, they're in with a chance too. After all they are the most successful team in WC history. Same with the Springboks. Need a little bit more energy specially during the latter stages of a match, but has a good enough chance to win their 2nd.

  5. I really hope that south africa will do again this year like they did back in 95

  6. I think south africa is starting a whole new team, its not defined yet. And as someone says about England, it doesnt have a chance, they have a lot of problems with the coaches, players. I think they lost more then 7 games in a row. Agentina beat them in England and they never lost in there.

I think Argentina or Australia, they are the ones that can make it.

  7. France have a good chance, but i will say south africa or the kiwis, the irish should be in as well

  8. Well, if you're talking about history here...

    1987: Host: New Zealand

    Winner: New Zealand

    1991: Host: England

    Winner: Australia

    1995: Host: South Africa

    Winner: South Africa

    1999: Host:Wales

    Winner: Australia

    2003: Host: Australia

    Winner: England

    2007:Host: France

Winner: Prediction of either France or England. Host seems to win or if not, they lose to a team, then beat them next WC in their country. So maybe NZ since they are hosts for 2011.

  9. Argentina will be very strong in RWC, i think France, Kiwis, and Boks  might have a chance to win*/

  10. Before I offer you my personal opinion which, like many of the other answers, is also probably biased towards my home team, I will quote the IRB world rankings. They tell us that the top three teams, based on recent consistent results, are NZ, Australia, and France, in that order. South Africa are ranked fourth.

Sorry you England pundits, the present English form is nothing like it was at, or immediately prior to World Cup 2003. They are currently ranked at 7th, one place behind Argentina!!!

Home advantage taken into considerations, France should meet NZ in the final, and finish second.

  11. I would say there are a couple teams that could take the whole thing.

New Zealand and England are the favorites, but South Africa and the Aussies have a good shot at it too.

  12. you got good taste the springboks are definetly going to win the world cup

  13. South Africa A, B or C team??? I think New Zealand or France will win. Watch out for Argentinia and Samoa though.

  14. South Africa do have a good chance to win the World Cup, I hope their decision to rest their first team pays off, although if they dont have match practice there could be injuries before the knockout phase, still they should be ranked No.2. I think NZ are hot favorites, as they always seem to be but never deliver. It looks like one of the Southern Hem sides, good luck to all anyway, lets just hope for some good hard rugby.
