Who do you like better? the Michelle of the Primaries or the re-invented one we saw last night?

I personally respect people who are themselves (even if I vehemently disagree with them). I have no use for phonies. I'd prefer the 'original' Michelle, strong, opinionated 'takes no c**p kind of a woman, but this make-over, to me, is a dismal failure. It's not who she really is, and the fact that she caved to the pressure in order to get more votes is disingenuous. I disagree with the Obamas politics and agenda, but changing who you really are in order to be more 'electable' stinks.

  1. LOL... so people can't be very opinionated and strong, and also be sentimental and loving?

Humans have very complex emotions. They're not always ALL on the surface all the time. I'm sure if someone tries to cross her, she'll get bold again...

  2. I must admit watching Michelle Obama last night nearly swayed me away from McCain; however, I think her husband should take some tips from his wife. She is open-minded and she is willing to make a change for the good of her campaign but change you ways and ideas just to win someone vote is wrong.

  3. I don't care for either one of them although I understand why she 'had' to do this.  It was an attempt to convince people that they're the average American family who love and respect their country and are just down to earth people (but forget about what I've said in the past).

It was a rah rah fest, plain and simple and I have doubts as to whether or not it gained more votes for Barack.

  4. Disingenuous yes, very much so...ironically 'disingenuous' is one of Obama's favorite slurs he loves to sling at opponents...and we know why he constantly is thinking of that...he personifies that word...

  5. I used this "angry" depiction of Michelle Obama several times.

    Why?

Because it accurately portrayed the "presumptive" First Lady of the United States, and as a journalist, that is may job, mame! To accurately report what I find most abhorrent (or most valuable) to the folks listening in on the Factor.

That I happen to draw distinctions between a class-act like Cindy McCain and an angry practitioner of Rev. Wright's Black Liberation Theology is my right and responsibility.

For the person above me,(Colleen) or anyone, to denigrate me by name because I fulfill this mission is disingenuous and you mame, are a pinhead for suggesting it!

  6. I don't think she is two different people.  She is a loving wife and mother and she is opinionated, too.  The two aren't mutually exclusive.

  7. Oh please, the right-wing 'punditry' (hit squad is more like it) had their talking points going all during the primary season where they tried to paint Michelle as 'angry'.  FOX's Hannity and O'Reilly and the rest of their crew used 'angry' in connection with Michelle constantly in order to warp their viewers' perceptions of the woman.  The angry Michelle you disingenuously claim to respect was a creation of right-wing media phonies.  You saw her in basically her own words last night, so get over it.

Edit to add:  BS, I've read your stuff on here enough to know better.  Where exactly did you get your information about the real Michelle?  What source has been your window into the "original" Michelle?
