Pity, like feel sorry for?

People that live in poverty, but actually work really hard and try to make their lives better.

Poor people that just beg the government for disability and welfare, don't care.  But the ones that like have 5 kids, a wife, and work 18hrs a day, I feel for them.

I pity people that have lost family members in war. Soldiers in Iraq are true heroes. When one of them dies, it's awful that they risked everything, but lost everything.

I pity kids at my school that have horrible home lives. Kids that have been abused, have had like 3 different fathers, etc. It'd be so tough to go to school, get decent grades, and have to go home to h**l.

People don't understand what others have to go through in life.

First; poor blacks.  They have the odds stacked against them, and so much to overcome.  Next; people who are severely trapped in any kind of addiction.

Very poor people that try to get ahead, that are alcohol and drug free and not on welfare, but are constantly ridiculed and blamed for everything wrong by the rich.

People how gets picked on by others. When I see it happen I get so sad, and feel really bad for them..

People who conform to how society tells them to be, without even thinking or questioning it.  They're easily affected and usually not very knowledgable, because let society manufacture them and dictate the person they are.    

Also, people who have "strong" opinions about things they know LITTLE to NOTHING about.  They *really* get on my nerves.
