Who do you think are the best and worst characters in final fantasy from 7 up ?

i say 7 and up because i haven't played the ones before that except the remake for the ds but you can say any character if you want and please just give a reason i am really curious what people think well as for me i think some of the best characters are definitely cloud and squall because they are like the kind hearty outcasts that don't really have a place to call home or family and friends and the fact that they are the main characters in there respective games but also too i think tifa lockheart is really good character because of her combat looks and i think she is a real likable person i was saddened though by aerith's death and red 13 since he is one of a kind in all the series and barret also because beside been such a great character i think he is like the only black character in ff and they should put more cause tbh most look the same in the ff series

Well, I loved Cloud Strife, not only was he cool, but I loved his attitude and he had a very intersting past that made me want to find out more about him, the same goes for the beloved Aeris, she was such a sweet flower girl who had a very rough life. I loved her story as well. Then there was VIVI from FFIX, would was just too cute! I loved how shy and timid he was! I also Loved Sephiroth, he has got to be one of the coolest most insane FF vilians ever!

I hated Quina, I thought IT was a very annoying character that they could have done with out, and the same goes for Cait Sith, he drove me nuts! I was so happy he died at the Temple of Ancients, until the brought Cait Sith 2 into the picture! I was so bummed!

My favorite character from the entire Final Fantasy series is Rinoa Heartilly from FF8. I know some people think she's whiny, but she's incredibly kind and really fights for what she believes in. Plus, the way she interacts with the characters (especially Squall) shows great characterization and, growing up with the FF series, I've always looked up to her.

As for the worst character, I definitely have to say Professor Hojo from Final Fantasy VII. He fathered Sephiroth and fused him with Jenova cells, completely screwed up Vincent's life, and performed experiments on Zack and Cloud (which ultimately lead to Zack's death). Do I need any more reason to hate him?

I LOVE squall...he's always been my favorite.  He's a loner, but still cares, and I always felt I could relate to him best.  You haven't played any earlier games?  Darn...try final fantasy 6 (it's been republished for the original playstation and it's well worth playing.)  Terra and Locke are my favorite characters in that game.
