I think Amon Buchanan is very good at shrugging tackles, not often he gets caught one on one.

  1. Dale Thomas - that kid can run!

  2. Although I'm sick of hearing his name this year,

in the last couple of seasons I haven't seen too many people put a tackle on.......

    Chris Judd.

    "Go Crows"

  3. Gary Ablett-seems very strong through the hips and never seems to get tackled

Luke Hodge-just a hard nut and hard to stop

Chris Judd-slippery,fast and an ability to weave through a pack

Paul Chapman-just a rock type that's hard to get a grip on

  4. Robert Harvey has always been difficult to tackle

  5. nick dal santo or scott pendelbury, both have lots of time and good  awareness.

  6. Andrew McLeod, Fraser Gehrig, Fev and John Brown

  7. stewart dew cos he is so fat now

  8. Stokes for Geelong seems pretty slippery, also Daniel Kerr is a very hard man to tackle.

But the best would be Paul Chapman from the Cats, that b*****d is tough, one of my favourite players.

  9. i think Gary Ablett is by far the hardest. He more often than not breaks tackles that other players would be wrapped up with..it has to do with his strength in his hips and shoulders

    Interesting Question

  10. Ablett G for Geesus - his steps and change of pace and his sheer acceleration are amazing

Chapman, P for Perfect with his ability to drop low and draw the free (much like Archer)

Sounds biased but tackling and evading were big elements in winning the flag.

    Anyone with the surname Burgoyne.

And then of course you have units like Cam Mooney and Barry Hall for totally different reasons.  I ain't standing there!

Riccuito was a man who always seemed to have an extra half hour to decide what to do.

  11. I agree, it's not often you will see Amon Buchanon wrapped up in a tackle. I'm so surprised everyone has forgotten about Daniel Kerr, he shakes heaps of tackled but is probably aimed at alot. Gary Ablett Jnr also has strong core stregth and can shake a tackle well. One person said the Burgoynes maybe Shaun but time has caught up with Peter. Scott Pendlebury can sort of but not quite, well at least not yet.

    Hardest players to tackle

    G. Ablett jnr

    Daniel Kerr

    Amon Buchanon

    Shaun Burgoyne

  12. david rohdan the smallest man in AFL

  13. ablett junior, strong like his ol man, harvey too in his day, judd too

  14. Judd and Pavlich.

  15. Any of the solid and small midfielders. And Gavin Wanganeen when he played

  16. The ones sitting on the bench!! Ha Ha
