  1. CHINA.

  2. China did it! From sports to hosting!

  3. No contest!

    China, by a country mile.

  4. Fishing

  5. China :)

  6. They are both spectacular games.  Athens was the Olympics returning to its home, while Beijing was an opportunity for China to meet the world and the world to meet China.

  7. China was way better!

  8. China

  9. The show that China put up for the opening ceremony fantastic but the most important thing in the olympics is not the opening ceremony or the architecture made for it, its about olympic spirit, hospitality, fairness and happiness of the athletes. From what I saw, Athens did a better job because there weren't many complaints about it and the athletes seem happier.

But China did a good job as well but there was too much controversy involved and its obvious that the government poured a lot of money into this olympics with an attempt to impress.

  10. I will have to say China...

  11. Athens was better, not as hot, not as smoggy, and you were allowed to go pretty much anywhere you wanted, without fear of being killed by some crazy locals.  Plus there was the Acropolis to visit, the Parthenon, Mount Olympus (where the torch is lit, then passed around the world), more history of the Olympics in Greece than anywhere else in the world.  Beijing had too many blown calls, from gymnastics to boxing to wrestling, it was obvious the commies had paid off alot of judges in order to win their golds...or I should say buy their golds.  Greece was a friendlier games as well, since they know what the true meaning of Olympic Spirit is all about.

  12. China did an AMAZING job!!! They set a whole new standard that is going to be very tough to beat. London has some BIG shoes to fill...

  13. China apparently did better according to the ratings and funds generated.

  14. China for sure !

  15. China had better facilities, But from what I hear from people who have been to both, Athens was a vastly more hospitable, and fun, atmosphere. especially for reporters trying to cover the games, And family members trying to get access to athletes.

It's not all about 'what you see on TV'....

From people that have been to both: Athens was better.

From what I understand though, Sydney is widely accepted to be the "BEST" in recent times.

  16. The 2008 games it the best organised Olympic ever. The success was due to the full support from the Chinese government and the ordinary Chinese citizens. Sebastian Coe who led the London 2012 bidding said that we would probably never get to see another Olympic hosted in such excellent and grand scale anymore. Despite criticism lambasted at China on by certain parties, the games went smoothly. Yes, all the athletes were generally happy with their stay in Beijing during the entire period of the games. It was amazing that even the sky turned blue throughout the games and also not forgetting the excellent performances of many of the athletes. Athens was good in the sense that  it is the birth place of the Olympics and it was appropriately hosted according to the Olympic tradition. Athens showed us the tradition of the Olympic while Beijing showed us the Chinese and the modernization of the games.

  17. Stop deceiving yourselves, Beijing gave us the best Olympics the world has ever seen.

  18. China.........................way better!

  19. china did an awesome job, better then athens and the other country that hosted it in 2000
