  1. winstone churchill

  2. MARGARET THATCHER,the trouble is people have selective memories and seem to forget the absolute state of the country she won off the Labour Government of the time and it would appear to be being repeated. She fought for the good of the majority and those that want to help themselves,Labour the complete opposite a socialist dream that will never ever work to the detriment of the masses

  3. Sorry Mathew on a list of 1 to 10 Blair is a 9 and Brown fell off the scale.

With reservations I would go for Mrs.Thatcher but Clem Attlee was very good also but gets little credit.

  4. Winston Churchill during the war years,

    Maggie Thatcher otherwise,

both had faults but were towers of strength when needed and Britain has declined ever since their leaderships

  5. The Younger Pitt.

  6. Harold Wilson !

  7. Margaret Thatcher! Why?She faced up to and solved problems other Prime ministers were frightened to tackle!

  8. Margaret Thatcher.

She inherited a bankrupt, unstable economy, and her reforms whilst some were unpoular, had to be done. She saved this country and turned it around from the 'Sick Man of Europe' to a thriving economy.

It's just a shame New Labour are doing their best to ruin it all.

  9. David Lloyd George.

  10. At the time Winston Churchill, the right Man at the Right Time during the War. His Unflinching Stance against the n**i's ,never to give up did the Trick.

However apart from the War he did not seem so Great, as he did not get the Economy into Shape after it. A Great War Leader but not so good after the War. A bit like a lot of Great Leaders, Charles De Gaulle and Maggie Thatcher, very Right Wing and not very nice to the Working Class.

  11. Churchill.

  12. Gladstone.

    .

  13. Maggie.

She kicked a ss and was hated for it, but she did sort out alot of the problems in our country.

  14. Clement Atlee

  15. Prime Ministers invariably have problems whilst in office but some perform well during times of trouble. Winston in WW2 motivated the Nation during a massive crisis and he was kicked out once the war was won. There have been a number of reasonable PM's and many awful ones.

  16. Tony Blair.

  17. Benjamin Disraeli ofc.
