Was it the French Premier who went to Russia and got them to sign a cease fire. Was it George Bush and the Americans who hold the power to threaten Russia. Perhaps David Cameron's trip to Georgia helped. Finally, Could it not be Gordon Browns phone call from the seaside to give £2 Million pounds to the Red Cross for Georgia. Good old Gordon. Always there, when you want a lift.

  1. I suspect Russia is pulling back due to its own accord. It pretty much got what it wanted. It will pull back except for the two disputed territories. Russia will stay there and protect the people there from Georgia.

Don't think badly of all us Americans I am one and Russia has my support and so do the people of the area. They have been tortured long enough by the US puppet state.

  2. Russia is trying to save the influence on Post soviet Republics, but these republics invaded 90-70 years ago Know know price of Russian hegemony and slavery and are trying to escape it by becoming NATO members, they hope that NATO will Protect them.

If you See National Interests Of Russia, Proved By Duma in 2001 you'll see on statement, that Russians National interest is to become center in multipolar World and spread its influence on Caucasus, Eastern Europe and they central Asia.

In fact National interests of Post soviet Countries (about becoming NATO members) intervenes with Russians National Interest and that causes Conflict (war). If these countries Become NATO member than Russia won't have any influence and will lose it's national interest, that is most important think for any country.

Russia Claims to be Democratic (according to Freedom house it's democracy level is quite Poor and is falling every year),so it can't just go in another country and invade it (spread influence by putting there puppet government) and is seeking for reasons or Creating Reasons. Russia Provocated Georgia By killing it's Soldier in S. Ossetia conflict Region and by shooting Georgian Villages in the Region. Georgian government lost Temper and responded on aggression. Russia had already prepared militaries as was planning this provocation long before and began invading Georgia, it's main Roads, Railways, ports..

    Russia Hoped to:

    1) Overthrow Democratic government and put their puppets Loyal to PutMed.

    2) Underline the fact that it has a power and Russians Militaries are strong enough to conquer a country (in this case Tiny Georgia)

    3) Show Nato that they are to accept Country with serious threats that puts hole Nato to threat and in this way frighten tham.

    4) To Show the world that only pipeline that doesn't cross Russia and goes to Europe through Georgia isn't as safe as thay sought.

Russia is becoming Evil Empire and if it won't be able to satisfy it's ambitions and appetite as a revenge probably will become partner with Iran and N. Korea (they sell lot's of Armour already there)

  3. The EU have, they drew up the peace plans and sent the French president to the region to discuss them.

America have not been helpful in the least, their rhetoric has been aggressive and unhelpful. They are fully aware of Georgia's ethnic cleansing campaign in South Ossetia but choose to ignore it, all for the sake of oil its sad how they put oil before human well being :(

  4. Decode this lyrics " That's what friends are for"

Must be the work of dirty old men.

    In having team work.

    Luke 9.25,55-56,60

    What do you think?

  5. They are not in Georgia, they are in South Ossetia the republic that Georgia attacked and broke a treaty from 1992. Google this before you ask a Q that doesn't make any sense unless you believe silly US Media reports. Try reading what the rest of the world does. At least go to YouTube and watch what other journalists and news media have posted when they were in South Ossetia.

  6. Russia has done the most themselves to leave.

It was always temporary. And it's a lesson to others that they have managed to defuse a conflict, agree a peace deal, restore law & order and withdraw - all within 10 days or so. Incredible.

  7. Well, Sarkozy has done a lot of work to sign this peace treaty, but I doubt very much that Russia wanted to capture Tbilisi and somebody has encouraged her not to do so.

The main idea was to show that  US back-up doesn't always turn out to be strong and sometimes its just words. Then to show that Russia can protect those who trusts her its security plus destroy Georgian Army entirely. What was done wonderfully. 44 tanks + 12 APV + 5 antiaircraft vechicles and thousands guns (mostly M16 and M4 and AK-47) captured. Who cares about this Saakashvili now?

  8. I suspect Russian public opinion demanded the protection of Russian citizens in the breakaway regions of Georgia, thousands of whom were killed in the recent bombardment by the Georgian government.  I suspect it remains the Russian intention to maintain armed forces in these regions and that the deeper incursion into Georgia was to neutralise the possibility of any Georgian attacks on these forces and done essentially for the safety of Russian troops.  Having destroyed much in the way of Georgian military assets and demonstrated their capability to overrun the whole of Georgia they are withdrawing but will I believe remain in control of the breakaway regions.  I believe the French, Americans or British have had no effect on Russian behaviour.  The logistics of any kind of intervention against Russian power in their own backyard were quite impossible and the Russians could (and are) playing this exactly as they like.

  9. Have you noticed that there is one European country that has not said one single word against Russia....Italy.There are building up trade in russia and approve of strong right wing authoritarian leaderships.Mr belesconi ought to p**s off and live in Russia.

The Americans and only the americans could destroy russia easily and they are the people russia reluctantly listens to Europe is spineless
