I think that if Rocco Baldelli started his season a little earlier, he would be at the top of the list.

Cliff Lee, he was in AAA at one point last season and this season hes having a Cy Young calibre season.

I agree that it has to be Cliff Lee. CY Young season and did horrible last season. Hamilton didnt really have a great season then do bad one season and have a break out season. What would he be coming back from? Drugs is non baseball related. Lee came back from a horrid season.

Hamilton. Good player to a real monster. He's got my vote even though last year he had an okay season.

It's 100% Hamilton. But as for Baldelli - I think next year he will be a great candidate for the award. Even if he does alright in the home stretch, if he can play a full season with his Mitochondrial issues he deserves to have his name mentioned.

I disagree with Hamilton.  You have to be near the top of your game, then have a bad year or two, then go off again.  Hamilton, while a real feel good story doesn't fit but his team mate Milton Bradley does.

Baldelli and A-Rod are primed for next years award.

Josh Hamilton - from doing some drugs to dun dun dun one of the best hitters. Well of course he might not be the best but this guy set a home run record in the derby but eventually he lost.

I say Cliff Lee and Josh Hamilton are my candidates.  And Milton Bradley's been overshadowed a lot too.

Cliff Lee was actually sent down to the minors last year- this season he's primed for over 20 wins!

Josh Hamilton... Hello, from crackhead to star athlete!  If that's not a comeback, I don't know what is!

And Milton Bradley: Knee surgery and other injury issues; leading the league in OBP, top 5 in slugging AND average... Not bad, not bad.

Look at Cliff Lee for the Indians. 2 years ago he was a 19 game winner, last year he did horrible and got sent down to the minors for more than half the season. This year he is 19-2 with 4 more starts left and an easy cy young award winner.
