According to ESPN college football encyclopedia Nebraska fans was regarded as the classiest fans in college football.

These fans after each home game will give the visting team a standing ovation for thier effort against Nebraska. This was clearly evident during the years Tom Osborne coached the program. With him being back as head of the AD, I can assure you that this tradition will be re-lived if it has somewhat slipped in years that he was absent at the program. Tom Osborne in my opinion was the the clasiest coach in college football as well. His class rubbed off on the fans, and I feel the new coach will do the same for this program.

WVU fan, voted as the college football most rowdiest and hostile fans in college football. Be nice if our fans could follow the example that Nebraska has set.

Penn State fans are great.  Been to Happy Valley numerous times.  But the classiest fans, in my book, would have to go to the Naval Acadamy.  (except during Army/Navy week)

jisdaman54, as a fellow Tennessean and Big Orange fan, your answer is a fine example of why most people consider the SEC to have the worst fans in the country.  The truth, they are probably right.  And you have a narrow view of things you know nothing about.  Go there, experience it for yourself before you deny it's credibility.

Coming from an OU fan, it has to be Nebraska. The are always courteous, and very knowledgeable fans.
