Well a few days ago my rude niece pour liquid on top of my brother's laptop and damaged it. (It could not be fixed) My father and I warned him about putting up his computer because my niece is around. Then my aunt told my brother is ok to leave the computer on the desk cause my niece would not destroy it, but after my brother walked away my niece poured liquid on his laptop and destroyed it. Now, my brother is all pissed off because my father has no intentions of buying him another laptop. My aunt says that she's going to buy another new laptop for him, but just being polite my brother said its ok. But he wants my dad to buy him another one. I am mad because its not my father's fault..my father bought him that laptop not just long ago...it was brand new..

who do you think has the fault and should pay for it?

Now my brother is all pissed because he says he will fail his homework and never go to university because he has no laptop. and that my father doesn't understand him...

  1. Really it is no one's fault.

But if it was someone's child their parent should pay for it.

I know my parents would, it's just polite.

  2. All i can say is when it comes to children you can never be to careful on what you leave sitting around in the way of there little.hands   Well now looks like Auntie is buying a computer.

Did you take the lap top to a shop or did you try decide your self if could be fixed or not

  3. your aunt should pay

  4. Your aunt should pay.

  5. I think your brother should have listened to you and his father and put the computer away.  It's definitely not your father's responsibility to replace it but perhaps he could check to see if it could be replaced under their house insurance policy.  If it can, then perhaps your aunt could just pay the deductible.

Otherwise, I think your brother should earn some money and replace it himself.....and listen to his father next time!

  6. First and foremost, people went to university before laptops were invented. So he can still go with or without it. BUT, I don't believe the parents of the niece should have to pay the whole amount of the laptop because he was warned about her. maybe he should pay 30% and the parents pay 70%. I am a mother of 2 little ones and they have the ability to break everything in site.

  7. First of all...

I guess your aunt understand how your niece is

but why did she went ahead and said it was ok???

why didn't he have the brain to trust anyone?

I think you need to be responsible for what you say....

Daddy doesnt have to pay for anything because nothing falls from the sky...

be responsible for your choice and mistake..

that is the only way to learn how to grow up
