Both are equally beneficent.

When we learn ( worthy things ) from others, they help us to broaden our outlook and deepen our insight and we benefit.

Just receiving good things is not enough. There is pleasure in giving too. So, in our own small ways we must help others to gain atleast some useful knowledge / skills.

For me, to learn from. I am in no position to teach. But there are some that are, unless what they have to say speaks to me directly I can not judge them. I do not know what is in their Soul. Thanks, good question.
