Look at the results.  Nadal leads Fedeer head to head, but that's b/c he is 8-0 on clay.  Federer has more grand slam titles, is the world no. 1 and dominates on every surface (yes, even clay: Federer is the no. 2 clay court player).  So, Federer is betterer.

Head-to-head Nadal leads 11-6.  As far as their skill overall, Federer has the all-around game which makes him strong on all surfaces.  He also has a much better shot variety than Nadal.  Nadal, on the other hand, has possibly the best clay court game ever and seems to be improving on hard courts as well.   He doesn't vary his game a lot, but has more consistency and is physically stronger.

Federer is better then Nadal on all surfaces except clay so if i had to choose who was better it would easily be Federer.

generally,i'm torn ,because nadal is such a marvel on the clay but has yet to truly prove himself by breaking through winning a slam on a different surface/slam whereas roger has won every slam except RG. skill-wise,i think roger is the more complete and nadal especially on other surfaces other than clay plays a bit too defensively. but personally i don't think it's fair to say who's better or not....there is obviously an age gap there and experience level.....nadal is still improving and still has that time to do so.

but at this juncture i have to say roger because of that fact that he has more slams...more slams on the other surfaces. plus,i feel roger is slightly more aggressive on those other surfaces and his serve is also much stronger. he hits it with a bit more pop and great placements and rafa still hits with that more predictable spin.

yeah fed got blown out by rafa at RG. federer is gonna have major pressure on him at wimbeldon. yeah federer's got more skills than anyone but rafa is so fast and so powerful i suspect he is better. i suspect that he will still finish number 1 though

I'll quote Nadal.  Federer is better.  Nadal is sweet and is unbeliebalbe on clay, but Fed is the king.  So, he's having a bad year. You don't go from being unbeatable, to this for no reason.  Even Nadal was perplexed.

depends where and what they are playing on.. on clay obviously Nadal. on hardcourt/grass federer...

Nadal. Rafa has 27 titles at the age of 22. Roger has less than 10 titles when he was 22. Imagine how many more titles he can win when he reach roger's present age of 27?

sigh... i am a big fan of Federer, but after watching the French open, i have to say Nadal got his number now, i even think will be a 50/50 chance on other surfaces...

When you are the #1 player in the world, and the dominant player for the last 3-4 years, and the critics name you "possibly the best ever", you become this huge target every player wants to take down.

i still think Federer is the most consistant players against all others, but Rafa has the edge against him right now.

i feel Nadal will soon like Roger, become the target to take down and studied by other players.
