Women, definitely. I usually don't make generalizations about gender but women do tend to be smarter about it in this case.

It depends on the individual and their circumstances.

I make all the money and I make enough money that she has no clue what I spend, which allows me a lot of freedom. I own out-of-town property (besides my main house), so I'm able to keep my affairs separate from my home life by never having affairs with people in the same town I live.

I also own a business which requires me to travel a lot, which gives me additional cover

I once even told my fiance that I heated on him and then after I saw his expression I talked my way out of it making it seem like I just said that to see his reaction and he believed me ... they always believe me =)~

Wives men try to hide it but are not as worried about getting caught because most of them know they can convince the woman to stay if they want. I do want to point out I said MOST not ALL but on average more women stay than men.

IT DEPENDS ON THE SITUATION IF SHE HAS A HUSBAND WHOSE ALWAYS CHECKING ON HER IT MAY BE HARD, BUT IF HE'S THE TYPE OF HUSBAND THAT NEVER NOTICES AND JUST THINKS SHES GOING ABOUT HER EVERYDAY ROUTINE THEN SHE CAN HIDE IT, VICE VERSA.
