  1. The Americans are going to get the most medals.  Oz is a great nation, but they just don't have what it takes to beat the Americans.  I'm rooting for the United States.

No one wins the Olympics.  There is a medal table always available for fans' convenience, but no country is awarded for winning most gold medals or most medals overall or whatever.  Personally, I think you need to put everything into perspective.  As good as Michael Phelps is, if he can win 8 gold medals and an entire basketball team can only win 1, it's quite obvious not all medals are created equal.  Therefore, any silly system with gold medals = however many points etc. is flawed.

    With that being said, the U.S. is 7-17 heavy favorites to win the most medals, while China is 3-11 heavy favorites to win the most gold medals.

    But the only winner of the Olympics is the world and everyone who is a part of it.

  12. I think the USA, but China is going to be close plus they have more gold medals. USA will edge them out though with softball, tennis, basketball, and track and field. Plus Phelps has three more medals coming
