Either Kofi Kingston or Kozlov.  Two very different "characters" from the usual WWE-type of wrestler.

Kofi is very talented (and RVD-like in the ring) and is already over with the fans.  Take him out of the comedy stuff with Santino and put him in angles with the likes of Shelton Benjamin and MVP, and Kofi will become a big star.

Kozlov proved something to a lot of people in his recent match with Festus, a man his own size.  Kozlov doesn't have to become a low-down cheating heel, he can continue as he is.  A win over, say, Batista would catapult Kozlov into the main events, especially if he started doing Arn Anderson-type promos.

CM Punk is already a given; he's already a main-eventer in the WWE and he was one of the top independent draws when he was working the indy circuit.

Evan Bourne/Matt Sydal, most probably, but the thing is he has no mic skills to back up his flashy style, and you can only keep up with such a moveset for so long; as he gets older he will need to tone it down more and more and he needs something to compensate for that.

Scotty Goldman/Colt Cabana, I've heard is a great entertainer; in the independent circuit he was known for his comedic promos and matches so if the WWE gives him a chance he will most probably get over with the fans.

Kofi Kingston is another given; if he plays his cards right he will be a World Champion within 2 years.

I can definitely see The Brian Kendrick as a top star in the future; he has that whole new Christian Cage-like attitude and gimmick with him (Ezekiel Jackson = Travis Tomko XD). He's a great wrestler and is a good entertainer as evidenced by his early days on SmackDown!.

Actually I think the WWE has made some good investments as regards former indy stars. I just hope they learn to push them properly without compromising their talent at the same time.
