Big Brown is the favorite... (No news there)

As far as the rest of the Preakness field goes

Kentucky Bear and Gayego are the only horses with a fair shot to beat him... Gayego didn't wear himself out at the derby and should be full of run... Kentucky Bear ran 3rd after being bumped at the start of the Blue Grass stakes and he had a awsome work out the same moring of the Derby.

BUT... THE BIG SCOOP IS....

The unusual traning tactic that Richard Dutrow is going to use. He plans to have Big Brown blow out an eighth of a mile the morning of the Preakness...

This may work great and have him break alertly or it might back fire on him because Big Brown has never been through an eigth of a mile morning work the same day he competes...

I think what's really odd is that there is no no early speed horses what so ever to the imediate left or to the imediate right of Big Brown in post 7 this saturday. So if he doesn't break on a dime, he should still be okay...

But I'm not the trainer so if he feels he needs to gamble to get a good start then I guess I have to aggree for now and become a Sunday morning arm chair Horse trainer if things go wrong  on Saturday...

You have to also throw Gayego into that mix, however, I don't know if he will be in my top 3.

Harlem Rocker is not running, as Stronach Stables is keeping the son of Maco Uno on the plan to peak for the June 22 Queen's Plate at Woodbine. Recapturetheglory isn't running due to spiking a slight fever and may next appear at he Ohio Derby later in the month.

You are not going to get any money out of a Big Brown wager - WPS or exotics....take two bucks and play a dollar exacta box with Behindatthebar and Kentucky Bear & hope for the upset...and half of what would be a real nice payout.
