  1. By far its Brian Habana.  Equalled Lomu's WC record of 8 tries. IRB Player of the Year. Need I say more?

  2. Shane Williams. Ickle is a legend.I love watching side stepping ickle buggers..Not a big fan of  habanna as he smiles to much..every time the cameras pointed at him...

Edit...I'm sorry folks but what does all this "highest try scorer during world cup" stat actually mean in reality? Other than..it means that his team was in the world cup for the longest and in a easy group full of whipping boys?

No offence meant...but the highest try scorer in a world cup is a silly and frankly utterly meaningless  statistic that basically proves nothing at all.

  3. Habana is great, but his defence is questionable.

Rockocoko has pace and strength.  Mark Gerrard is very under rated.

  4. ya im not a fan of habana either, even though he is said to be the best out there. I like Taquri, but i think that the best is Joe Rokocoko

  5. right now,

it has to be joe rokocoko

bryan habana is the most over-rated player i've seen in my life

whenever a player has pace, he immediatly becomes god,

rokocoko has pace, strength, agility, intelligence, creativity, a good vision.

However, i think if Rupeni Caucaunibuca gets back to full fitness, and loses some weight he will be far better, as he has all rokocoko's attributes times 2

  6. Habana every time. Reliable, and can actually hurt in a tackle. His kicks are sometimes are a bit curious but he is very efficient and is the fastest player in rugby. He does seem to have quite a large mouth when he smiles, but i dont think this lets him down on the pitch in any way :P.

  7. Bryan Habana. Unstoppable in attack. Uncompromising in defence.

Named as player of the year 2007.

Top try scorer at the Rugby World Cup equalling Jonah Lomu's record.

  8. Definitely Brian Habanna, the guy is simply steaming. Yeah your Kiwis its hard but true. Go Springboks.

  9. You can't say that Habana is not the best as he did really well in World Cup equalling my idol Jonah's record but he will never have the power and agility that Jonah had. Habana only has pace and kinda useless in defence. Look at that American winger who Habana couldn't tackle. He plays dirty as well and that is just not the perfect wing. Best Wing will have to be Jason Robinson but he also plays Fullback. He can create something out of nothing and always dangerous. No need to say anything more about his defence cuz he has proved it against South Africa in the final. Josh Lewsey is also good. more defensive and powerful than Robinson but lack pace i think

  10. It's a tough question because there are many aspects of wing play.  Offensively, i would have to say that it should go to Rupeni Caucaunibuca.  The man has a serious set of wheels, and seems to have a gear that the rest of the world doesn't have when it comes to running.  Just youtube his name and watch his single handed efforts at keeping Fiji alive in the world cup against Scotland in 2003.  Unfortunately he can't seem to get his act together and is has huge discipline problems.  Plus at a svelte 115 kgs/253 pounds he's definitely no skinny-minny like Shane Williams.  Beyond him, i would tip my hat to Habana as the heir apparent to the title "try scoring machine." he too has a hefty set of wheels.

That being said, I think Habana is weak on defense.  The fact that he couldn't stop  Takudzwa Ngwenya in the world cup, and he had to illegally take out Percy Montgomery in the S14 final are evidence that he's weak on the defensive side of the ball.  Doug Howlett on the other hand is a brick wall on defense.  Just look at his tackles against Pete Rose in the S14 match against the Lions, it's pretty obvious that the man likes tackling just as much as he does scoring.

In terms of the total package, i would give the nod to Josevetta Rokocoko (as he likes to be known nowadays).  He's creative on attack, speedy as h**l, and has a good head on his shoulders.  Plus, he's defensively put together as well.  He's much more well rounded than any of the others.  Thats why Smokin' Joe Rokocoko is the best winger in the world

  11. Bryan Habana.

Equaled the number of tries scored in World Cup History.

    Amazing off the mark speed.

    Great tackler!

    No comparison!
