Who do you think is the best afl player?

For pure outright ability to win a match - Jonathon Brown.

For skill, endurance and the ability to raise his team - either Judd, or Cousins.

Personally, I would pay anything for Brown before the other two, but man they are all fantastic.

Being a roos supporter I must say I consider Brown like Carey - unstoppable when on fire and d**n handy when not playing at his best.  

A good big guy always beats a good small guy!

Ever heard of a bloke called James Hird?

Some of the names that have been thrown up here are ludicrous.  Hird would be pushing best EVER player, not just best current player (I know, but I haven't come to terms with that little fact just yet).

Oh, and one more thing - Judd's nothing more than a receiver (hand-pases and free kicks), I'd love to see him at Carlton.  A receiver with no givers, we'd finally see Judd's true colours.

I reckon Jon Brown. He has such a physical presence out on the ground that it lifts his teamates. He is a clone of Carey and keep in mind that big guys don`t reach their peak till they are 26-27. If he stays injury free ( touch wood) he will be in the Royce Hart, Wayne Carey bracket for sure.
