Well, today we have records and computers that tell us who was the best. Im happy and proud to say that we Cubans gave the world the greatest chess player in the world. I will explain why, let me just start by mentioning that the book dummies for chess have Capablanca as the greatest.

Go to wikepedia...look at comparing chess player tru history,,,,1978 Elo System..Capablanca number 1.

Who made the least mistakes acording to analyzed cumputers, was Capablanca.

Who was the only player not to lose a single game in 8 years...Capablanca.

Who lost the least games in chess...check it out...Capablanca lost the least games among champions, when you reply,,,dont give opinions,,,give facts...Capablanca record wich i have seen is much better than Bobby Fisher's.

Talk about facts and records, not opinions.

  1. Gary Kasparov is the man.

  2. I agree with you that Capablanca was a superb chess player.  Cuba can be proud.

  3. I think Jesus is the best chess player. I mean walking on water...come on. If he can walk on water im sure he's better than Cubans at chess.

  4. He is Garry Kasparov. I mean, he has gotten so many trophies and he is World Chess Champion!

  5. i get your point and understand that he is somewhat the strongest player that has ever lived, but i like Bobby Fischer more. Cmon he was 14 when he became champion u cant beat that i mean the guys a legend and u know it. Also he dies when he was 64 and chess has 64 squares thats cool 2.

  6. Kasparov

Won a category 17 tournament with a score of 13-2!

Played clock simuls against 5 renowned GMs!.

Beat Karpov repeatedly! (a feat which somehow tends to get overlooked, but is by no means a shoe-in--to put it very mildly).  Indeed, a very strong argument could be put forth by the Karpov camp that he is the 2nd strongest player in history because he lost to Kasparov in 5 matches by such a slender margin.
