  1. Riewoldt is extremeley over rated. I actually have yet to see him play a game as good as pavlich, or brown, etc.

    The most underrated players are normally those who don't play for the big victorian clubs. A few doggies and kangas players are under rated.


  2. my opinion....   Nathan buckley.  what a tosser. underrated... there are a few , but the one that comes to mind is..  michael braun.  hes always there but  doesnt get noticed half as much as he should...     how good is it to have the  alf back to share our opinions and thoughts on.    rock on!!!

  3. Jonathan Brown is probably right up there as the most overrated player in the comp. A lot regard him as the number 1 CHF in the league but he is yet to produce a top class season. His highest goal tally for a season is only 39 !!!

    As for the most underrated player, I would have to say Daniel Kerr he lives in the shadow of Judd but is every bit as good.

  7. most over-rated player i think is simon goodwin (adelaide)

    theres big raps for him but he never polls well in the brownlow

    and is not some one id class as a match winner.

    most under-rated id say is scott west (bulldogs) a true champion 7or 8 times (not 100% sure) best and fairest at his club,always finishes high up on brownlow night,probably a bit unlucky not to have won 1 or even 2 medals.

  9. I would have to agree that Nathan Buckley is overrated - i think Tarrant is overrated as well (Freo have another Trent Croad on their hands - the Connoly Curse)

    But i think there's so many good young guns coming up

    (Danyle Pearce springs to mind)

    and a lot of them don't get the respect they deserve...

    And in defense of Warren Tredrea (yes its an opinion but nevertheless) when are you basing this opinion on? it certainly wasn't 05/06 because he was struggling with a knee injury and it certainly wasn't 2004 because he had a stellar year and was number one goal kicker

    (and i think he's a god...)

  10. most overrated-Barry hall is overrated.everyone goes on and on about how great he is but he's not really. couldn't even kick straight in last years grand final.he really did have a huge part in losing that game.

    most underrated-heath shaw.fantastic player but just flys under the radar.

    Under rated - Joel Bowden. He is Richmonds best player by a mile.

  13. This will no doubt can cause conflict and every one has their opions.

    I think the most over-rated players  is Nathen Buckley and Warren Treadrea, the media just pumps these 2 guys like they are Gods of Football. Yeah they can play and they are champions in their own right, but to go on and on each week about these 2 guys, it's getting ridiculous.

    The most under-rated player is Brett Rielly from the Crows, he does his job week in, week out. A gifted player with skills and pace. A future captain.

  15. over rated- barry hall, hes a big girls blouse, hes one of the only players who lets go of the ball to put his hands down to break his fall after marking.

    under rated daniel kerr, hes probly the best and hardest player in the afl, he polls every year in the brownlow but misses all star selection and missed out on the eagles team of 20 years

    underrated John Barnes- he is the sweetest guy and he was an awsome player as well as Tony Modra

  17. nathan buckley is way overrated! i dont think hird gets credit where it is needed. when he is in form he is just brilliant, people calll him a sook but when you think about it over the years he has taken a few fairly hard hits and he still has his days!

  22. Nathan Buckley is the most over rated player. He is a great kick when GIVEN the ball out in the open but when was the last time he took a game by the scruff of the neck and won it off his own boot? Like Carey, Hird, Lockett
