Who do you think is the rising point guard in the NBA

i think its Monta Ellis he will be in the top 4 at least for best pg in the nba after the 2008-2009 season

I'd say monta ellis. He's more of a 2 gaurd but he'll probably play the 1 now the BD's gone.

I would have to say Chris Paul.

He's on the olympic team this year,

and I am sure that he is going to take this experience and use it with the Hornets next season :)

I know a lot of people are going to disagree,

but I'm also gonna say Jordan Farmar.

He's overshadowed by Fisher,

but he has a lot of potential and has shown a lot of improvement since his rookie year.

I love both of them equally :)

This is getting ridiculous. Monta Ellis is not really a point guard; the only reason that he is expected to play point guard is because of the lack of any other even semi good point guards on the Warriors right now. He is not a pass first player, he is a shoot first player. You can take a good player and put him a any position and it will not change the fact that he is a great player; but in turn it will also not turn him into a great player of that position. Last year was Montas breakout year, he was part of one of the best back courts in the game of basketball which in my opinion is why he had such a good year, it help when you have one of the best guards in the league playing in tandem with you. Monta Ellis is a shooting guard, end of story. For him to become a good point guard, or even a real point guard for that matter, he will have to totally change the way he looks at the game of basketball.

To summarize, Monta Ellis in my opinion will not be one of the best point guards in the NBA next year. Someone I would expect to be a rising star point guard next year would be Jose Calderon.

I honestly think Devin Harris will rise this year, not better the CP3 or D-Will but he will vastly improve.
