No one knows for sure why Jill Dando was killed.  My own guess is that she was assassinated by a contract killer.

Jill Dando had probably been instrumental in helping to put a powerful person behind bars due to her work on the BBC Crime Watch series.

I believe she was the victim of a contract killing, for her involvement in the BB C's crime watch programme. She has obviously upset someone whilst working on that show.
