Who do you think kimbo slice will fight next?

Will Kimbo Slice be given a S****y fighter next to keep his perfect "record" or will he finally start being put up against some more decent fighters? Is his career a lost hope? Isn't he to old to start learning the basics of ground game? When will elite xc go out of business?

  1. They will feed him another can.  Thompson wasn't even in the top 20 heavyweights.  Its all about marketing with them, they need kimbo to win some more to generate an audience.  He's a real athletic guy but it takes years to become a decent mma fighter.  His jiujitsu sucked so bad.

  2. Kimbo is the face of the Elite XC. And because Elite XC is going to continue to try to catch up with the UFC, they need the face of their organization to continue to win until they get some more quality fighters. I somehow am not suprised that the ref did not stop the fight in the second round when Thomposn was pounding on Kimbo while Kimbo was just laying there but then pounced on the oppertunity to stop the fight when Kimbo landed a couple good shots.

I'm not saying the ref was trying to get Kimbo the win, but someone in the Elite XC did what they had to do to assure the win. I think Kimbo's next fight will be against another fighter who WAS good at one point but has lost like 4 of his last 5 fights.

  3. probably Rogers. thats what the commentators were saying last night. ButterBean has challenged him to. I'd like to see him fight bean, they are both similar styles.

I do think his career is somewhat a lost hope b/c last night he was practically beat by an averge fighter with a poor record.  Well, 1 of 3 things will have to happen. a.) they bring in stiffs off the street for him to knock out. b.) they keep putting in a minimum of C rated heavy weights and he goes down hard and soon which exposes him as nothing more than a fraud which ultimatly crumbles the XC. or c.) The keep bringing in decent talent but figure out a way to keep it brawling. Maybe they pay the opponent a bonus for a knock out. or just completely fix the fight with the theory of, he's got to win for their league to be successful b/c he has such a huge internet following. It would take him years to be a quality MMA fighter. yes he is too old to start learning ground game. and XC will be out of business before 2010. I'd like to see him as a boxer myself. Theres money to be made in that too and who knows maybe he could be a top 2 or 3.

  4. a 6 mo old kid

  5. hes probably gonna keep fighting S****y fighters, or he'll fight frank shamrock and "magically"  win

  6. Probably fight Brett Rogers next.  That little incident Sat. Night was staged to build up the hype for the fight.

  7. They'll probably make him fight a S****y fighter....again. Im REALLY hoping they'll put him up against Brock Lesnar.

  8. I can see a Brett Rogers matchup being made because of the lack of opponents at heavyweight for Kimbo, but probably not in the next fight.  And if Brett Rogers were to beat Kimbo then they still have Big Foot Silva around for their marquee heavyweight.  But I don't think Gary Shaw(the owner of Elite XC) wants to see Kimbo fall anytime soon.

  9. I'm guessing a 'medium' fighter. Not a UFC star, but not some C-class c**p fighters from last night.

  10. Lesnar would be a high profile, high dollar fight.  Keith Jardine or Paul Buentello would match up nicely against Kimbo, although I don't think he'd be ready for either of those guys today.

  11. Probably someone with no ground game and a glass jaw i.e similar to the guys he was beating up in alleys in Miami. They will want the fight to be kept upright, and they will also want Slice to redeem himself for his disappointing performance last night, so they will give him someone he can knock out, and knock out quickly.
