Did he invent himself "out of the blue"? What do you think?

Thanks so much.

  1. It is difficult to imagine something that has always been.  But, yes in a sense I think God did invent himself.  As God is constantly being reinvented over and over again.

  2. The U.S. Treasury and it's equivalent around the world... what!? We see 'em everyday, we can touch 'em, it's real, it's tangible. It's the most powerful force on this little planet. It's "MONEY" and "s*x" is it's mistress, and "DRUGS" is the offspring. Face it, you can't argue with that. These are GODS!

  3. God is omnipotent, omni-benevolent and omniscient being.  Being all-powerful, all-loving, and all-knowing, God is limitless in our eyes.  And yet, though in human languages we can truly call him limitless, still, in the timeless world of the Gods, he has hindrances and weakness that we cannot even comprehend.  After all, God is so perfect compared to us, how could we notice such subtlety?

And so, he was made by a more powerful God--a greater God, so great that the name God does him no justice.  And yet, this God too, was made by a greater one.

(I'm just kidding, hopefully the old saint on his mountain has heard that God died long ago)

  4. Deus nos fez sua semelhança...e os demais resultados em nossa vida temos que buscar...fazer e honrar as virtudes que nos foi dada.

    abraços.

  5. Man's inherent desire for answers created God...

...& it's because of man's belligerence in acknowledging his past errors that God still 'exists'

  6. Nothing made God, man only became aware of God.

  7. If someone made him, He wouldn't be God now would He.

He would be a god (lower case g).

  8. maybe human mind did like some people say.

but wait a minute...!!! does your question mean that you do believe in God?

    love

    Pluto

  9. Mankind, way back in the day...

When they thought the world was flat.

  10. I don't know, I like this explanation by Douglas Adams :)

  11. GlaxoSmithCline

  12. One of three possibilitiesGod made him/herself. People invented God, or God doe not exist.

  13. God is eternal.  He has no beginning or ending. Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the ending.  HE IS GOD!!!

  14. If God exists, and someone else made God, then that "someone else" is greater than God and would therefor be the true God, unless someone else made that God.

Do you see the problem with your thinking?

  15. the humans who drew up a book of their own rules and applied it to a man named 'God'

  16. If He had a beginning He could not have existed. He would not be God. I am amazed that people think infinite regression arguments have any merit.

  17. No He was not made. He is the only being. He is the Alpha and Omega. No beginning, No end. Good question.

  18. God is an imaginary being created by people who fear the unknown and desperately need a higher power for protection.

  19. God has no need to have been created, since He exists either outside time (where cause and effect do not operate) or within multiple dimensions of time (such that there is no beginning of God's plane of time). Hence God is eternal, having never been created. Although it is possible that the universe itself is eternal, eliminating the need for its creation, observational evidence contradicts this hypothesis, since the universe began to exist a finite ~13.7 billion years ago. The only possible escape is the invention of a kind of super universe, which can never be confirmed experimentally (hence it is metaphysical in nature, and not scientific).

  20. God is eternal & self-existant. God doesn't HAVE life, He IS life personified.

  21. It's a made man product, quite a profitable one too when marketed correctly.

  22. Man invented god. God, and religion, is a tool to control the masses.

  23. "out of the blue" is not necessary since God is not bound by the human restraint of time

  24. He has just "always been". He is the creator, not the created.

  25. God by definition is uncreated.

Only things bound by the laws of logic and this universe have to have had a beginning, God by definition gave ris to the laws of the universe and logic and everything else, so He doesn't  need a beginning.

How do you have a being before time was made?

God is defined in the bible as being eternal

    ---

If X makes Y, and anything Y contains must have the properties A, B and C

must X have the properties of A, B and C,

Answer: no (as X is not contained in Y)

    define: A as time

define: B as space or matter

define: C must of had a beginning (as a result of A and B)

    ---

however arguing that reality just happens to exist with all its laws of quantum dynamics and crazy stuff like that, and saying that is just happens to exist.

or that a singularity that just happened to be there exploded brings up more questions than answers because a universe can't create itself (if you don't exist how can you give rise to anything? :/   just a thought)

  26. My God's God created my God.

  27. No one.  Infinite regression is fundamentally illogical, look it up.

  28. God simply IS eternity - he is the peace and stillness we feel when we connect to the moment are are free from past and future projections.

  29. I think that the mice are in charge of everything.

  30. the nomads and the wandering goat herders invented god.
