I do. >:] Just joking. I bet it's just people playing pranks and etc. I dealt aliens would go so far just to reshape our crops.

They have gotten much better at it  - slowly over time.

Do you think that aliens would start off making simple, basic circles and then slowly over the course of 20 years get more and more elaborate as the tools of the trade get more sophisticated and the practitioners get more skilled?

Of course not. Aliens would have made the elaborate ones right off the bat.

People get better with practice, and with fancier tools - GPS coordinates, better technology, CAD software, infra-red cameras for seeing in the dark, etc.
