  1. I have no idea... Obviously the smart decision is to go to a contending team and have a chance at the cup but if he wants to stay true to his word he'll stay in Toronto. As a leafs fan I want him to stay in Toronto but as a Sundin fan I want him to go to a contending team such as Montreal. But i really have no idea what he's going to do I guess we'll just have to wait and see!

  2. Free Agency. hes gonna go to the Habs

  3. canadians

  4. At the trade deadline Sundin justified not waiving his no-trade clause because he wanted to finish his career with the Toronto Maple Leafs.......so he d**n well better.  Leafs or retirement.

  5. the vancouver canucks

they offered him 20 million over 2 years plus 10 million in bonuses

    if not, then he'll retire

  6. He is going to play for the Rangers

He has express interest in playing in New York and the Rangers want to sign him

  7. Les Canadiens de Montréal

btw it's spelled "Montreal Canadiens" not "Montreal Canadians"

    Canadians is the english spelling!

    Canadiens is french!

  8. habs

  9. He is gonna stay with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

  10. WAIT PEOPLE! If he really wanted to go to MONTREAL, then why hasnt he given GAINEY permission to come see him in Sweden? I do not think he will be a Canadien! Just my opinion.

He either Stays in Toronto or goes to Team Sweden (DETROIT).... I do not think he will retire!

  11. he will end his career with toronto unless montreal signs more free agents and is a championship contender  which i don't think will happen

  12. Mats is starting to become a dead horse.

My guess is he joins team "Dead Horse" and wins the Stanley Cup next year. I have a feeling the "dead horse" will be a stanley cup repeat.

  13. I think he'll wind up in montreal. More's the pity too, they should go after Hossa instead.

  14. The most likely scenarios at this point seem to be either a return to Toronto or possibly wait to see if the Wings offer him a deal. If it is a Cup he is interested in then money has to be on the Wings, he can play less minutes and be a 2nd liner giving him a shot at a big final season. Or he can be a man of his word and stay loyal to the Leafs, I honestly cant see him signing with the Habs or he would have met with Gainey already if for no other reason than to give leverage in another possible deal. The darkhorse would be the Rangers....if Jagr takes the money from the Russian league (here is betting he will, he has had plenty of money issues and he can make more there). That would leave the rangers in good position to make a solid commitment to him. I dont think retirement is an option, he may opt to return to Sweden and sign a pro deal there and retire in the homeland where he is a revered player anyways.

So in this order these are my opinions of best options:

1...Wings (raise the Cup and go out on top)

2...Leafs (be a man of his word and remain loyal)

3...Rangers (only happens if Jagr leaves)

4...signs in Sweden (Mojo?) and retires as a hockey God in his homeland

  15. If he is a man of his word and has even a shred of integrity left, Toronto - after all, he did refuse to drop his no-trade clause last year because he "wanted to finish his career with the Leafs".

My guess is that if he is going to abandon his integrity, he'll avoid Montreal and go for one of the more likely contenders.  I'll go out on a limb and say Detroit.

  16. doesn't have to be the habs he still have a choice to resign with leafs or just leave

  17. he's definitely going to montreal. they're already in talks with him and sundin has never won a cup. with him going there he's got a good chance for one with he and koivu as the top two centers. the only thing that should be up in the air is if they'll get anything for him or if he'll wait until july 1st then sign with the habs

  18. Detroit Red Wings, anything to make them a powerteam! plus they seem to have a thing for older players
