People with money are able to make more investments and buy more assets during recessions as the market prices fall. When the market rises again, their gains will be greater. Maybe we should ask who would gain most from a recession and how could they engineer it?

Spider is indeed right.  Especially cheap beer and the such.  LOL.  To answer your question, I would guess that capitalist could benefit because they can now invest in stocks and other such investments whose prices have been driven down because of the slow economy.

I think it affects everyone even people with money but they already have so much of it that it doesn't make that much of a differance to them.

Maybe the environment is benefiting a little less driving, less buying of products so less trash.

This recession especially benefits oil companies and people who have spare money to invest in the slow stock market. Think about it: One of the first signs of our recession was . . . oil/gas prices going up!

I also have theories about that, but if I explained them, I'm sure I'd get in trouble.
