  1. I don't think they need pitching. And I doubt they will pick up a pitcher. I did hear they are trying to get Brian Roberts. I think they are trying to have a three team deal. I didn't hear the whole scenario but it involved Cabrera departing and Roberts arriving. That was the last one I heard about.

  2. some sucky person because Kenny Williams doesn't know how to GM.

  3. with a name like james;  you gotta lov the cubs.  f the cubs;  they suck.  go brewers!!!!

unknown about who they will get before the deadline.

i agree pitching is needed. go white sox!!

  4. nobody because they suck

  5. I don't think they will make a trade for a pitcher. Their rotations is pretty solid right now even with Contreras on the DL and their bullpen (despite Logan's recent s***w ups) has been steady all year. If anything the Sox need a little more speed and contact hitting than pitching.

The Sox don't really have alot of front line players that have enough value for a trade. Fields was the one guy who seemed to be attracting interest but since Crede's now on the DL, the Sox need Fields at third. Uribe might've gotten some bites becuase he can play so many positions (tonight he played some third), but he's not a star so he won't get a front line player (especially a pitcher) in return. Wise and Anderson are they same.

So, unless the Sox dump someone really big like Konerko (which contractually I don't think they can), they don't alot ot offer. I think they check out the waiver wire and maybe make a minor deal or two switching minor league prospects with another team, but other than that they are going to play out the season with what they have.

This year's White Sox is an interesting team. Alot of people are writing them off because they don't have alot of glamour players or aren't a feel good story like the Rays. But, they just keep playing solidly (most of the time) and doing what they can to win games. Right now, they are only 4 games behind the Angles for the best record in baseball and have a better record (% wise) than any team in the NL. They have developed a chemistry as a team that I don't Williams is going to mess with until the off season.

But, Crede is the key. If he's going to be out a long time and the Sox know this before the trading deadline has passed then they might make a move. It would be silly to trade Fields for another third baseman but the Sox might give up a reliever or some minor leaguers for a back up for Fields.

Probably a deal with a team from the NL, perhaps Mientkiewicz of the Pirates since the Pirates seem to be in a trading move. Or, Zimmerman from the Nationals. If it's an AL team then maybe the Blue Jays would trade Rolen to a team outside their division. None of these guys are superstars (anymore) and they have been around for a while so they might be available.

    PS:

It would be a big mistake for the Sox to give up Cabrera. He might not be popular with the Media but he has stabilized the left side of the infield and he has a good bat. He seems to have a knack for clutch hits. Only a Scrubs fan would suggest a trade like that.

  6. They were talking about trading Orlando Cabera to the Dodgers for Derek Lowe. Then moving Alexei Ramirez to short.

  7. i heard that they were interested in houston street also that one guy justin dushersher i cant spell its name.
