i was very skeptical of heath ledgers performance when i first heard he played the part in the dark knight. for 18 years when some one says the joker i immediately think of Jack Nicholson. but after seeing the dark night, i believe hands down ledger gave a new twist and an Oscar worthy performance as the joker.

Definitely Heath Ledger. He had a powerful performance. His madness was brilliant! He was the reason I enjoyed the movie so much. The rest was ok, but I was thoroughly engaged in the movie only when his scenes arrived ( i still got the whole movie).

Hmmm...it would be between Jack Nicholson and Heath Ledger, but I think Heath Ledger wins. Nicholson was great, but Heath Ledger was phenomenal. It was his insanity that did it all; his version of the Joker was deranged, but enjoyably so.

i watcehd the movie with him in it a few days after i saw the dark knight, and i realized that he actually did really good in it.

because in the comics, the joker wasnt all dark and everything,
