To me, it's still Hammerin' Hank Aaron. Until someone in the next, maybe, 10 or 15 years (hoping technology and doping doesn't get more advanced), I don't think anyone will top Hammerin Hank/ Barroid*.

If you are simply talking about the one-dimensional # for the home run king, currently at 762, then Arod should break that and probably Albert Pujols breaking Arod's record.

However, if you think about Home runs as an accomplishment compared to his peers, no one is likely to dethrone Ruth.

If you put Ruth's accomplishments in Bonds' era, he has the equivilent of 1912 home runs.

I say theres only one KING of homeruns and that was Babe Ruth.Many Princes though.Aaron is a Prince and I think Arod will be the Next one.Unfortunately Ryan Howard strikes out too much to be a Prince.

That's tough.  A-ROD is on pace to destroy the record, if he doesn't get hurt.  But we would be remiss not to remember Ken Griffey Jr. who was also on pace to destroy the record before injury after injury destroyed that dream.  If he doesn't get hurt, I fully expect A-rod to retire in the 800-850 range.  (But Pujols is also one to watch...)

if ARod remains healthy he can pace to hit about 800 HRs, which would be a feat that he would have to do despite media scandals and 'roid allegations. because lets face it, any player who approaches a HR record comes under fire about steroids..i believe ARod has never taken any banned substance and he is untainted as far as drugs go (his personal life is  a different story) and i would want to see him if anyone break the HR record

A-Rod - if he can remain healthy, he could end up with 800+ HRs. Love him or Hate him (I hate him), you gotta respect his talents
