team that celtic will face in the cl..what teams in all honesty do you see them taking points off...do you think they will progress by the group stages

Villarreal will be toughest but I'm sure we'll go through, if by any chance things go wrong we'll at least make the UEFA Cup and win that......

Man Utd.......They will not take any points from these 2 games, the only way they will is if Man Utd have already qualified and play a second string team..

Villareal....Very good team..Celtic will not get any-thing in Spain from them, they may get a win at home or at least a draw, but the Spanish are a very slick attacking team..  

Aalborg..The away game will be dodgy, but Celtic should get there first away win from them but don't hold your breath, remember Kopenhavn? should beat them at home though..

They will need at least 8 points to sneak though..and i figure they will only get 7 points, which should be enough for the UEFA cup..

I think all away matches will be tough especially, since our away record is not that good.  However, i am happy enough with the group it could have been much worse.     I have no fear of playing anyone at home but, the time has come for us surely to get an away point or 2 this time... :)

you know me bluebell, i always er on the side of caution. we have managed to get through tougher groups in the past 2 seasons so nothing would suprise me if we slipped up in this one. villareal away will be a nightmare and could be a hide behind the couch match.

Man U, Villareal and Aalborg, in that order.  I know that is the obvoius and easiest answer, but there you go.

All joking aside, Celtic are appalling away from home in Europe, the last decent result of any kind was V Ajax, what ,7 or 8 years ago ?

So they must rely on winning all their home games, not an easy ask.  Villareal play in the Spanish League, and go to the Bernabeu and the Nou Camp every season.  Don't know much about the Danes, but typically Scandinavian sides are hard to play against.  And I cannot see Man U leaving Parkhead without 3 points.

You need a strong SQUAD to suceed in Europe.

Celtic have insufficient cover for their goalkeeper, defence and strikers.  Look at the situation now, they are heading for a game with Rangers with whom up front ? Samaras and Maloney, the latter is not even a striker ?  Smokescreen aside, Celtic fans cannot be happy with that.

I seriously dont see celtic taking points from Man U and Villareal away from home, Aalborg is a possibility but i wouldnt underestimate them. At home if Man U play a full team they will take the points, Villareal are a tricky team but i could see a draw at home and a win at home against aalborg it will be celtic and Aalborg duking it out for Uefa cup spot i think.

everyone knows what to expect with Manchester United now, if Ronaldo doesnt play or play well they are a fairly average team, clearly im not saying thier c**p, but they arent nearly as dangerous without him, look at their results they have scraped so far this season.

Aalborg are meant to be a fast side, but they really shouldnt be beating Celtic. Think this will be the best chance for Celtic to get an away win

manutd,villareal and aalborg will lose at parkhea,wee will win in spain and then denmark,will qualify,will beat roma in the quarter finals,beat chelsea in the semis and will crush real madrid 5-1 in the cl final.sending this from leverndale psychiatric unit as we speak.lol
