  1. I'd like to see Carmelo Villegegis (sorry spelling).

Her has some flair and isn't a bad golfer.

  2. All the golfers will benefit but the tournaments and TV coverage will be big losers of revenue,

  3. Isn't it unfortunate that we have great sports fans who make disparaging remarks about Tiger Woods like the " second coming of Christ"  ?  But  Sergio has not come close to living up to his potential and Phil shoots himself in the foot too often to be a favorite. I do hope he plays "THE OPEN" and wins it. Phil will have to think his way around the course for a change.

  4. The people who will benifit will be people like me who think Tiger isn't the second coming of Christ.  All I ever hear is Tigar is a superior athlete and a hero for playing hurt.  It's golf.  Not MMA or amature wrestling.  I understand that he is the greatest golfer ever, but an athlete?  That makes John Daly an athlete as well.  But I guess you do need to be in great shape to WALK around and have SOMEONE ELSE carry your equipment.  Thank you Tiger for taking a break so I can have a break from you.

  5. Anyone who likes to watch golf on TV and is sick of seeing Tiger hit every shot like he's the only player in the tournament. Anyone that is tired of hearing Johnny Miller kiss Tiger's *** on national TV.

  6. Phil can benefit most from the injury by earning some FedEx points if he can learn from his mistakes about not puting the right clubs in his bag. I doubt he can make a run at Tiger's points so far this year unless he wins the other two majors. But in a way everyone will benefit by moving up one spot on the leaderboard without Tiger on top.

Also his name is Camilo Villegas lol if there was a commentator that knew any spanish they might pernounce it correctly.

  7. Phil , if we are talking in "Fedex Cup" points perspective.

He is second to Tiger.  Tiger will still be at the top, even being injured and out of play.

Phil can capitalize with a win and some top finishes and go into the FedEx Cup events with the top seed.

Everyone else is a good distance back.

  8. Too soon to tell.

Woods' schedule is pretty well defined; the only two tournaments that truly become 'in play' are the Open Championship and the USPGA (especially the USPGA given how he has dominated that tournament).

I have to wonder if Garcia will ever win a major given what happened last year at Carnoustie.  Mickelson is impossible to figure out; all this technology and half these guys can't find a fairway to save their lives.  I almost have to think it'll be a 2003-situation with a couple of relative unknowns winning majors.

Woods' record in the Ryder Cup is, at best, mediocre.  Fairly obvious his focus is beating Nicklaus' record of 18 majors.
