The NL Cy Young SHOULD go to Tim Lincecum hands down.  I think you prove you're the best pitcher in the league by putting up numbers like he did on a losing team.  However, since they usually don't give this award to a pitcher from a losing team (last one I think was Steve Carlton in 72) this award will go to Brandon Webb.

NL MVP - If Alfonso Soriano had been healthy all season then it would be a cake walk for him to grab this award but since he missed a significant amount of time he's not even in the conversation.  I think the award should probably go to Albert Pujols.  The Cardinals were a team predicted to be way out of playoff contention by now, but they have stuck around the whole ride and Pujols is the main reason for their success.  In my eyes, he gets the MVP.

Pujols and Dempster. Although Harden the other Cub ace, is actually the best pitcher in the National league right now. He wont win since he was traded and injured.

Actually Cy Young will probably go Webb. I am just hoping it goes somewhere else.

I think if the Brewers get the Wild Card, the MVP will go to Braun. Nobody on any of the likely division winners is having a stellar year. However, if the Mets do win the East, and Delgado finishes strong, he will have a shot, since they started winning when he started getting hot. If he finishes with 35-40 HR and 110+ RBI, look for him to get support.

The Cy Young should go to Lincecum. Yes, he has fewer wins than Webb, but he is leading the ERA race by a quarter run, and is running away with the strikeout lead. In addition, he has a 15-3 record. That's four fewer wins than Webb, on a team with nine fewer wins than Webb's.

If the Mets win the NL East, Jose Reyes is the MVP (How can he not be if Rollins got it last year?).

The Cy Young has to go to Brandon Webb.

Braun (33, 92, .300) over Pujols (28, 87, .357) for MVP.  Especially if the Brewers make the post season and the Cards don't.  If the Cards pass the Brewers then Pujols should get it.

Webb (19-5, 2.96) over Lincecum (15-3, 2.43) for Cy Young although Lincecum is making a strong run at it.  If Webb has another start like his last one, he may be in trouble.
