  1. Herring.  His muscles aren't as pumped looking from extensive weight training and other biological factors as Lesnar's, but if you watch the way he handles opponents in the ring, er's probably just as strong.  And while Lesnar may have the wrestling edge, Herring's kickboxing and submissions are better.

  2. Brock Lensar. He was in WWE and does martial arts as well, although WWE is just acting, he is a strong man and I think he'll win.

  3. Brock has a chance with his size , Herring will pumel him .

  4. hh will submit him , brock is too big for his own good

  5. i hope brock wins

  6. Brock Lesnar

  7. Brock only got into the UFC because he was famous.

Brock needs to learn how to use his strength to his advantage!

  8. I like that the UFC is throwing him tough opponents, but Herring is a vet and I am not sure if Lesnar will beat him.  But, Lesnar is strong, so who knows?

  9. I know Lesnar came over from the WWE, but I was really impressed in his fight with Mir. He is extremely fast for such a big guy. He had only trained for what 12 or 18 months, and only had one fight before taking on the former champ. He basically dominated, he just got caught. Herring doesn't have the submission skills of Mir, so I would say Lesnar will pound him out.

  10. brock by ground and pound.

  11. Herring. Brock will become a great fighter someday but right now he is getting some tough opponents.

  12. If this isn't the microcosm of the UFC heavyweight division, I don't know what is.  You have the one guy, Heath Herring, who represents every mediocre veteran heavyweight who just can’t do anything impressive, but does just enough to stay around, and then you have the other guy, Lesnar, who represents every young up-and-comer who is being fast tracked into the business, and is still taking his lumps, but still shows flashes of immaturity and poor cage fighting skills and stays around more on promise and potential than actual skill.  Either the newbies need to pound the snot out of the vets and get them out of the game, or the vets need to expose the youngins for the inexperienced fighters they are and make the UFC second guess themselves when it comes to signing unproven talent.  So many fighters from both of these camps are watering down the heavyweight division in the UFC.  The young fighters have potential, but he old guys have experience.

The fight between Herring and Lesnar should be interesting because Lesnar is so inexperienced that he can’t see simple setups that will lead to him seeing the knockout or tapout ferries, but Herring has no ability to stop Lesnar’s r****d strength.  Ultimately, I think Lesnar will expose Herring as being the waste of time that he has proven to be since entering the UFC in Jan. of 07.  Anyone who doesn’t think Herring is a waste of space, think about this, Herring hasn’t strung together two victories in a row since early on in 2004 when he defeated the 12-4 (currently) Gan McGee and the 28-22 (currently) Yoshiki Takahashi back to back.  Neither of these fighters will make you forget about Randy “the natural” Couture, h**l, neither of these two will make you forget about Randy Hogan (remember him?).  Unfortunately for us, Herring falls into the same category as these two stiffs he beat back to back.

In the end, Lesnar either wins by decision, wins by stunning knockout/gound and pound-out, or Herring eeks one out like he did against Kongo where both fighters were confused weather they should fight or make out.  The later would force Lesnar out of the UFC and may prod him to sign with Affliction or some other lesser company until he hones his skills.

  13. brocks style might actually work against herring. every time i've watched herring fight its like he does not realize there is a fight going on until half way thru the round.
