  1. Although Pacquiao has had to move up a weight class and Diaz is seasoned at Lightweight, I believe Manny will be too fast and too powerful for Diaz. Manny is a real proffesional, and although he has spent a lot of his spare time promoting the bout, I have know doubt the he is totally focused on not just beating Diaz but knocking him out. I don't however believe this will happen. I'm going to predict a unanimous decision Pacquiao's way.

  2. off course he will win coz filipinos are born to be a figther strong faith  in god.and he has the determination to win for his  country to bring again glory to philippines nation .proud to be a pilipino .....

  3. I am optimistic Pacquiao will win and once again give honor to the Philippines and this time as the only Asian to win four different world boxing titles.

  4. First of all, let it be known that although many have referred to David Diaz as a Mexican, he is actually an American. He was born and raised in the city of Chicago, Illinois.

    Now, to answer your question....

Manny Pacquiao has championship experience in facing the best featherweights in the world. His two wins over Juan Manuel Marquez, two wins over Erik Morales, and two wins over Marco Antonio Barrera have proved that he is the best fighter in the world at this weight class. However, this many wars will wear on any fighter and moving up in weight poses considerable questions to his future success as Manny will have lost a little bit of both speed and punching power.

In David Diaz we have a fighter that, other than fighting Erik Morales, hasn't fought big names. However, he has shown great stamina and boxing skills in the lightweight division.

This been said, I think the fight will be a tough fight for both. My predictions: David Diaz wins on a split decision. Manny's punching power and speed will be diminished. Either way, this fight will be great for all boxing fans!!!

  5. PAcquiao, hahaha, pinoy tau

  6. i go for manny, not only because im from general santos, but because of his skill, power, and the tenacity to fight fight fight regardless of the adversity. though i do not consider diaz a lousy opponent, but fact is, manny is faster and more powerful. speed might be the crucial factor here and certainly manny is quicker faster. so go manny!!! make us prouder...

  7. I really want Pacquiao to win but upon looking at Diaz, I perceive that he is determined to win and defend his title. It, sure, will be a very tough fight. It's a 51-49 fight (Diaz-Pacquiao). However, I believe that luck also counts a lot aside from prayers, therefore, Pacquiao has a chance to win.

  8. I still go for Manny Pacquiao...go go go Manny my kababayan... I  know he can make it with so much training and determination...also our prayers too.

The Philippines is part of Asian Continent and member of the regional organization the ASEAN (association of southeast asian nation) ...that's why Manny P. is true-blooded Asian and Filipino by Nationality...

  9. By the way yaw'll. Just to make things straight. Philippines is part of the Pacific Islander group. Thus Filipinos are not Asians but Pacific Islanders. With that said, I don't know much about the pugilistic business enough to make an intelligent prediction but, I hope Pacquao wins the contest.

  10. funny--- debate about filipinos being an islander or an asian--- kung ako tanungin ASIAN all the way-- but there is some bits of reason naman bakit pacific islanders--- hmmm

pero asian pa rin--- kaya nga southeast asian countries.

Pacman gets my vote (wait are we voting? hahaha)

  11. I'll bet after the referee... hahahaha. ofcourse I'm after the 'pambansang kamao" Manny Pacquiao.  Love your own fellow.

  12. After long and careful consideration, I am going to say PacMan gets KO'd.

I have been predicting a Manny win, but I just don't see it.  He has been knocked down frequently in his last few fights...

Diaz is naturally bigger and stronger...

I know that manny has the speed and experience and so on, but this will be an early TKO win for DD.  Just a feeling.

  13. I'm a Filipino therefore I'm rooting for Pacquiao. He is also voted as the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world today.

However, David Diaz is a natural lightweight; while Pacquiao is only stepping to that division.

While I want Pacquiao to win, I think Diaz will win the match.

  14. off course it will Manny pacquiao........

he already won three titles on three different boxing division so it was very noticeable that he will going to win...........

    I'm a pacquiao fan you know......... :)

  15. A recall during my childhood, I had been encountered several fought in boxing without gloves against my enemies before who had different in sizes, but for me through my personal experience, a little advantage in weight is not big deal in boxing sport, determination to win, moderate  practice, good health, bravery are the winning factors in boxing sport.

  16. I'm a fellow Filipino, and I hate Manny Pacquiao, my reasons are stated in my very own question: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...

So yes, I'm a fellow Filipino rooting for Diaz to win, and to bring Pacquiao back down to Earth, cuz the Pac-Man is just too d**n mayabang or boastful...

  17. I think Manny Pacquiao will win the boxing match because I believe that he has already a lot of experience in fighting that could gave him an edge to his competitor... he has a lot of strategies... and he fight for his countrymen...We should be proud of him!!! that's all...

  18. By the way, YAW'LL, Philippines is part of SouthEast Asia. So, that makes it part of ASIA!!! Pacific Islanders are more from the east of SouthEast Asia. This debate has been going on for hundreds of years between Asian countries because of the invasion of the Philippines by the caucasian people made the country seem like it has no Asian roots.

To answer the question, hands down, PACMAN.

  19. Might be david diaz on the first 2 rounds but i still  believe it will be the pacman manny paquiao.

  20. If I would guess and can decide about the future of that fight, of course I want PacMan to win that battle. But in reality, nobody knows what would be the result of their fight, all we can do is wait and see for ourselves how PacMan and David Diaz perform. They both deserves to win and winner or lost they have  already proven to their countrymen and fans that they are champions.

  21. Pacquiao will win.  No doubt.

    .

  22. The first fighter who blinks gets knocked out.

I already told Manny this, so I think he will win.  But that is, if he does not blink.   Oh, I forgot!   I think I whispered it using the Bosnian Herzegovinian language.  I just hope Manny understood.

Now, about this Asian Vs. Pacific Islanders issue.   Both camps are wrong.   We're neither Asians nor Pacific Islanders.

We're actually  part of the Lost Continent of Atlantis!!!

  23. LOL. A Filipino is someone who is from the Philippines. And Philippines is in ASIA! wtf?

I personally think Pacman will win (not because I'm a Filipino) cause in the past few years I have seen his improvement in his fighting skills, as opposed to the skills he had in his earlier years which is basically throwing his left punch.

I have also seen David Diaz fight but as far as aggressiveness is concerned, my vote goes to Pacquiao. Although *maybe* Diaz' stamina is a bit tougher than Manny's.

  24. Manny  Pacquiao will win. They are  both KO fighter but  giving punches  he  is  way  out of  Pacman. He will  get  3 to 4 combi  and he  can  retaliate  nothing.Anyway he win or not  he still  the  winner  to  all Filipino hearts.Pray  for  him  and  be  one  of  us Pinoys.

i hope pacquiao wins. i hope he had enough time to train. i hear he was a few weeks late again for his training in the states. I think pacquiao is getting too confident the more fights he wins. he almost lost the morales fight...

  26. if you are a true fan of athletics, you shouldnt be watching lightweights like this, unless you're like my brother 5'4 and 120 and he thinks lightweight boxers are the best, its all about the real athletes middle weights and above, back in the days they didnt even have divisions under 150

  27. Manny Pacquiao! I even have an official Manny P ringtone to show my support to him.

Thanks to this site : http://www.ringtonedeck.com/

They got good Pacman tones, unlike others.

    Go Pacman!

  28. i think Manny Pacquiao will win in that match,, because of his difficult training he do, Unlike Diaz.. that my opinion

  29. either ways....

you can only predict who will win.......

if pacman will play as he play with marquez he might lose the fight..... because he was mess when he fought marquez he just got lucky beceause he knock marquez down........

i think pacman gain weight...the power of the will still be there but the speed will be reduce.....if he will be able to adjust from his weight maybe he will win

  30. my best hope is for manny pacquiao, but we'll never know what will happen during the fight.  they are both champs so we just have to wait and see.

  31. I am a Filipino, proud of my race. Proud of my flag. Proud of Manny Pacquiao, win or lose.

And I am praying, together with the rest of the 88 million Filipinos, including Pacman's mother, that he will KO Diaz.

And my heart will surely bleed if he loses.

And sayang my pay-per view if I will only witness our countryman's defeat. I can not even take the thought!
