  1. I think people will come to their senses and vote Obama in a landslide.

  2. John McCain.

The fact that he will keep our military in the Middle Eastern countries, where we are facing the most threats this nation has ever seen!!! Keeping the war in their country, not ours, fighting THEIR war! The Global War on terrorism is the main issue in my book. Without our American defense system in the region, we will have nothing to complain about. We wil not exist! The terrorists mission of World domination is a constant threat to our country.

The fact that he has served in the American Government and military for more than 35 years. He is well respected in the Senate for his achievements.

The fact that he is the son and grandson of high ranking officers of the American Naval Academy, who also served in the military to preserve what we now are enjoying...the United States of America and our FREEDOM.

However, you should really take a good look and listen to the facts from each candidate and make your decision based on what they truly believe in, do a background check on them, see where they are coming from. I have done so myself, since the beginning of the campaign, and do not regret it at all. Good luck.

  3. I think that the person with the most electoral votes will win the 08 presidency, because that is how our system works.  I don't say that to be snide, I say that because I honestly don't know who will win.  I know who I am going to vote for, but that doesn't mean that I will stand here and say that he will for sure win.  The past several elections have been extremely close, as have the current poles.  Poles have never been an accurate predictor of election success, anyway, so how can anyone predict with confidence who the winner will be?

  4. Whoever gets the most electoral votes.

Because that's the way the process is set up.

  5. McCain  I certainly don't want to pay more taxes.

Everyone I know doesn't want to pay more taxes.

It always comes down to the almighty dollar.

  6. obama, even if mccain thinks he will get tons of votes for choosing palin, but american women who would have voted for Clinton aren't going to change just because it is a woman. the two have extremely different ideals, so he would gain very few, but will lose a bunch of votes because i dont believe that everyone would be accepting of a female being the second in command.

I also believe that more people like obama's plan, and are ready for a change. As well, americans have been very much  against the war, and mccain saying he will stay there for 100 years, would lose even more votes.

as for experience, palin proves that obamas few years of being a senator, does not meen he isnt highly qualified, since the republicans have chosen the governor of the third least populated state of the union.

  7. I think it was pretty close until McSame chose Palin as his running mate.  In fact, I had chosen McBush to win.  But, catering to the extremes in his party will cost him the election.  Had he chosen someone with some credentials and experience, many would have forgiven the religious pandering and the gender based innuendo.  But a lot of people realize that McCain isn't exactly the picture of youth and health.  People realize that there is more than a remote chance that he would be unable to complete his term.  Therefore, we expect someone who is more or less ready to serve in that capacity.  Not to belabor the point, but she's nowhere close to that moment.  The other lingering issue is that McCain has supported Bush 90% of the time.  Most of us are going to look at Iraq and the economy and surmise that there needs to be some accountability for that coincidence, because we don't want a repeat of those mistakes.  McCain can't do that because he in fact was instrumental in much of that era.  I think McCain is going to lose bad in November.

  8. Personally, I think it will be a surprise and one or more candidates will drop out or some scandal will break necessitating his/her withdrawl.  I can't see Obama winning, because I think the American people are not idiots and will soon wake up to the reality that he is a fake.  McCan basically killed his campaign by nominating Palin and is just descending into senility as far as I am concerned.

In any case I think a lot of people will vote Obama to not vote McCain and vote McCain to not vote Obama.  What this will equal I am not yet sure.

  9. Obama will win. McCain has nothing new to say. His record of helping the rich get richer and the poor...who cares. Barack has the ability to think things through in regard to the common man while McCain gives simplistic knee-jerk reactions to questions posed by interviewers. Joe Biden has spent his time between Washington and his family while Palin has been secluded to small town Alaska and her passel of kids. Joe is a man of the world while Palin is a girl of Willisa and Juno.
